Song: Johnny, Drop That Gun (Rock)

Reviewer: Trey Bruce

Positive Comments: I like the driving-down-the-highway feel of the song. It actually reminds me of The Highwaymen. There’s a nice signature line running the the acoustic guitar. I like the haunting under-tones of the track.

Constructive Comments: It’s possible that the lyric is a bit too specific for some sync uses. One quick fix would be to replace the name Johnny with a word that that could be universal.

Reviewer: Trey Bruce

Positive Comments: Overall this reminds me of a country song at the basic level however, I picked the Folk genre because it’s not something that fits the current country radio sound, groove, beat or productions. The song theme or title, “little one” could be a good subject for a country song.

Constructive Comments: The lyric, for the most part, reads like a positive affirmation regarding the future and security and foundation of someone’s life so, I think the vocal could sound more positive, more encouraging.

Positive Comments: Very nice and tight rhythm keeps you in it’s spell for the entire song. Really nice lead work takes you on a journey but keeps it grounded in the song. Well played throughout. Mix is spot on giving the spotlight to the lead without losing the groove of the rhythm guitar. Very danceable. Definitely a track for a driving playlist.

Constructive Comments: This is tough to critique as it scored top on all measures in my mind. Maybe a little more from the drummer on the turnarounds to add some pull into the next section but that is just a personal taste thing. Nothing stands out as needing work or adjustment, i tried finding something to suggest but really the track is professional and would stack up against anything as is.

Song: Heart To Heart

Reviewer: Joe Aschenmeier

Positive Comments: vocal tone matches the message theme just perfectly, keyboard and strings so perfect. Such a great vocalist fits this song perfectly. Tons of possibilities definitely has market potential. Reminds me of the eighties and chris debuhrg or whatever his name was. Sometimes in song writing too much is said, in this case just enough to get the message across and leaves room for the listener to build the picture in his/her mind.

Constructive Comments: Thinking a saxaphone solo as a bridge, final chorus add a stronger background vocal. i really can’t offer much to improve. My first point of analysis is whether my mind escapes into the song or whether i am focussed on critique. i got totally lost. Exceptional song and production and delivery.

Reviewer: Ravensong

Positive Comments: Interesting opening and lyrics. Dark lyrics with nice piano sound and music seems to be in opposition to the lyrics which are dark and sad as the music feels optimistic. I get a very melancholy feel and vibe from the overall composition. All in all a very interesting track to say the least. Having said that I really enjoyed it as it fits will with my dark tastes as you will soon see. All in all a refreshing change.

Constructive Comments: I would not offer any advice for change here as I thought it was great and a different approach all together which I like. Very well done thank you for sharing it. Best of luck to you.

Positive Comments: Liking the sound of the guitars singer has a great country voice. Lyrics are clear and bright. Interesting use of percussion as the weave in and out of the mix. Good solid song writing with a catchy lyrics and melody. Kind of a county feel and groove. Very well done I enjoyed it.

Constructive Comments: I thought it was well done and well recorded and as I said interesting use of percussion with the drum fills. Great job all the best to you.
