Positive Comments: Really great song with great energy. Kinda reminds me of a song that might have been released in the 70s/80s. Super funky bass, great effects and solid playing all around. It sounds like it could have been recorded a long time ago, but the recording quality is pretty solid. Very catchy song too. Could almost hear it as some kind of theme song to a show.

Constructive Comments: The quality of the recording was solid, the drums sounded a little raw to me, like they didn’t go through the entire mixing process so they sound a little unfinished. The playing throughout the song is great. The drums just need a little more EQ and maybe some compression. Hard to nitpick this song in any other ways. It’s pretty great.

Positive Comments: I love the energy in this song, it’s very exciting, and could probably get people up and dancing. The instrumental performances are very well done. The guitar leads are sitting really well in the mix as well. The lyrics and vocal melody are very good. Gives me some Blues Traveler vibes except for the lack of harp.

Constructive Comments: The recording was pretty well done, but didn’t strike as being professionally done, or it was a studio that wasn’t up to standards like most recording released these days. Regardless of all that it still sounds pretty good. If it is self recorded I would keep working on your skills cuz its pretty close to sounding like a professionally recorded song. It’s just missing a couple things tonally for me to really feel like this was recorded a way that made it feel like a high end band. It would definitely be worth it on a song this good.

Positive Comments: Okay, right off the bat, one of the best songs I’ve heard on this site. Gave me total Nine Inch Nail vibes, some industrial vibes. Just great energy in the track performance, solid lyrics, great hook, when the female vocals came in it really added to the track as a whole. I loved the intro synth sound and the song is the perfect length.

Constructive Comments: Sadly the recording quality on this song is pretty low. It sounds possibly self recorded, or you went to a studio that just doesn’t have the experience of some professional studios. The quality of almost all the tracks just falls short of making this a great recording. The vocals are a little off pitch in some spots. A good sound engineer will push the vocal melodies just enough in the right direction to make it work for the track, but most of the time I feel like the vocals feel off. If you got this song professionally recorded somewhere I would buy it, day one. I know it’s hard to know which studio’s to work with (if you even have the options available to you) but it is so worth it to get your songs done professionally. It really opens a lot of doors to your music. Hope you all stick with it!

Positive Comments: Really solid playing on this track. Guitars have great energy and really good pitch. They’re doubled really well to give them a nice full feeling. Drum pattern is done pretty well. I like the synth melody that plays in different spots of the song. Could see it getting placement on TV show with motorcycles and racing. It’s got an exciting, celebratory feel to it.

Constructive Comments: The recording quality is decent. I could see it getting placed in the current state it’s in. But if you were to take it to a really good studio and get a solid recording or at least a better mix, it might up the game on this track and open it up to more possibilities. It’s tough to compete when a lot of artists are out there getting professional engineers to record them, if you want to be considered more your recording quality has to match. There’s a lot of talent in this track but I’m afraid some music supervisors will write it off for not being the greatest recording quality.

Positive Comments: This track reminds me of playing Castlevania (a video game) when I was a kid. That soundtrack was very similar in instrumentation. Piano, Synth, Drums, I could hear this style of song getting used in a game like that. It’s got a good melody line and changes enough times to give it a fun adventurous feel which is great for gaming soundtracks.

Constructive Comments: The quality of the recording is pretty weak. It sounds self recorded, which is great if you have the right equipment for it. But this doesn’t sound like a professionally recorded track. The keyboard and piano playing was off time in some places, the drums had no life in them. This is a solid demo recording to capture and idea but I wouldn’t expect to get any placements unless you get it professionally recorded or at least mixed by a professional.

Positive Comments: This song reminds me (vocally) of Perry Como. First it seems a spiritual song (reference to prayer) and then a love song (reference to kissing/holding hands. I like the imagery of “untied”. The soaring image is nice.

Constructive Comments: I wonder if this song should be about one or the other? Sky and high seems a bit trite, but untied is original.

Positive Comments: This song begins quietly with a beautiful guitar intro, then builds excitement consistently as the song progresses. It reminds me of a (modern) western movie. I can just see the cowboy riding away fast in the dusk. I love the energy and excitement in this track. The guitar playing is great, each note skillfully played and so clear in the mix. Creative approach on the strings. Very full sound. Love when the song kicks back and then rebuilds. Great ending. I can see this being picked up for a motion picture.

Constructive Comments: Keep the great music coming! Loved it!

Positive Comments: How can a love lost/broken heart song be cheerful and fun? This one is! I love the question asked in the chorus “What about the the promises, you made when we were wed? Did they come from your heart, or just some words you said?” The accordion and lead guitar parts are great! The instrumental accordion riff is memorable and catchy. Love the Cajun twang in the vocal. This is a great song!

Constructive Comments: I almost didn’t give you a 5 for originality, but gee whiz, this is just an amazing song all around. It deserves all 5’s! Keep the great music coming.

Positive Comments: This song packs a positive wisdom punch for sure. I love the message. It’s so encouraging and the lyrics are skillfully and thoughtfully written. This is no “throw together” song. “scattered bones/shattered dreams” great internal rhymes and images. grip/trip Unsure/blur. I am seeing a lot of creativity and zero triteness here. It reminds me of the scripture Proverbs 24:16. “For though the righteous fall 7 times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.” You’re right, the devil doesn’t win in the end. This is a great song.

Constructive Comments: The only thing I can suggest is a stronger, more definitive vocal. Keep the great music coming, Bill!

Positive Comments: Here’s a rap piece that doesn’t really have a rap. It does have one word (either don’t or no). Some of the sounds I am hearing (not really vocals, but effects) sound rather guttural. Intro and beat are very creative. It’s a song with what I would call a “freakout ambiance”. Unsettling. Confusion.

Constructive Comments: Sorry, I am 68 and this is way out of my league and genre.
