Positive Comments: Wow, nice piece! The rhythm guitar track ” grabbed” me right away, then the lead fills only solidified the excellent quality of the guitars. Good solid bass presence, mixed just right along with the percussion. The vocal quality fit this song perfectly! The overall mix was spot-on… Yeah, nice!

Positive Comments: Nice “driving” beat, The basic bass line rhythm complemented the percussion very well. Now to the guitar tracks: well played (various) lead tracks with the rhythm guitar adding a solid “skeleton” to the tune. Very entertaining piece it stood well on its own as an instrumental. All parts were mixed very well.

Song: May the Fourth Be…..

Positive Comments: I really liked when the bass lines were added to the mix. The addition of the brass added a nice dimension toward the middle of the piece. The composition integrated, well, various thematic “thoughts”.
Constructive Comments: My ear wanted to hear longer fades prior to the rests and a little longer rests to let those sections “sink-in.

Positive Comments: This would work well as a theme tune to TV or film. It is an interesting and dramatic sound, but it has a touch of humpour to it also. So it would be a versatile piece to add to Film/TV.
Constructive Comments: Interesting use of instruments and arrangement to create a dramatic mood. Powerful at times, like the opening credits should be.

Song: Stay Here Now featuring Clay Collins

Positive Comments: To me this sounds very 60s, US West Coast. Very light, breezy and sunny. Good lead vocal, and background vocals. Easily could be the theme tune to a teen drama or situation comedy too.
Constructive Comments: Vocals are great but I’m not hearing a real hook to latch onto and follow. I hear the “cannot take another day” and “thousand miles away” lines but I feel you could do more to build that into a real hook, the 2nd line really, even a bit of repetition, forcing it to the front of the mix etc. could help. Normally I’m looking for the opposite for variety but there’s almost too many changes in the song to stick it in my memory. Some of the background vocals don’t sit quite right, the “no no” mainly doesn’t quite work for me but the hums and oohs and aaahs and most else works really well and adds to the easy going feel.Even though it’s angsty lyrically, the mood is very gentle, easy going and up beat, which I do like, that’s it’s USP. And the instrumentation, piano, strummed guitar etc. I think works just right for that. The bass though is probably a bit far back in the mix for my ear.
