Positive Comments: Okay, I’m jealous! I wish I could sing like this! I listened to this gentle melody and thought, hey, this one’s good! No wait, it’s great. It has the unique richness (do we call that substance?) coupled with meaningful lyrics about the wonder of a small child growing up. It is sung with…and here it comes…that gentle, understanding voice that works for this song like no other. It builds up masterfully to the comforting “We’ll be beside you.” It keeps your interest by changing keys making the song seemingly fly towards heaven.

Constructive Comments: Excellent job on this song. I’m impressed with your arrangement and how you got this song across.

Positive Comments: The first four measures will grab you with such an incredible hook, you’re not about to let go! Movie producers, this is the tune for you! It’s short, sweet, and lovely. The melody immediately lifts you and will stick. I played it over several times. This composer writes beautiful classic pieces but with a catchy pop flavor that makes them enjoyable. The lilting piano plays up and down the scale with such interest and feeling. Put it on your playlist, lay back, and let everything in your mind work out.

Constructive Comments: Beautiful job, Jeana. You’ve really written some great tunes in the last year that just stun me. I felt very honored that you shared the story of “Dora’s Lullaby” with me. It will always be a very special song. That’s what I noticed about your writing. It has classic structure but you make your melodies catchy.

Song: Digital Love Coreys II

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: Is digital love all it’s cracked up to be? Have you ever heard a tune tell you the story about what’s missing in the app? That’s the appeal of this song: it’s all about the tug of war between the monitor screen and face-to-face, cleverly told with conversational lyrics. There’s traditional instruments, vocal harmonies, and even a few ahhs and blips to delight you.

Constructive Comments: The subject matter really does it to make this song unique. My only quirks and tastes might be to put in some Kraftwerk, New Order, even Orbital tricks into the song: techno sounds you might find in some electronica tunes, maybe some robotic voices, to make it sound more digital.
