Positive Comments: The first thing that makes a song for me is the melody. The body of the song has a pleasant tune that’s easy to follow, but what really does it is that chorus! It’s hooky and memorable. It works well lyrically, too, telling a soothing story of being together. The easy jingle-jangle guitar gives a pleasant steady background beat. The song has a pleasant progression, starting with voice and guitar, adding more instruments as the tune builds. I could see this being a hit from a movie.

Constructive Comments: First constructive comment: nice job, so have a beer! Next, a couple of personal interpretive ideas to play with: beginning at 2:00, how about decreasing the volume of the claps about 10 percent and maybe the slightest echo to soften them to complement the mood of the lyrical theme? From 2:25 to 2:45, what would you think of a sound less shrill, orchestral strings (but seriously, I’m not saying to make it sound like Mantovani! Just had to say that to poke a little fun at my suggestion!), and maybe soften the vocal at 3:20 like 3:09, but just a little, it doesn’t have to be exact! Of course, you know your tune best. Final comment: you really know how to craft the melodies! I like that!
