Song: The Great Swinguine

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: Shouldn’t this instrumental be the theme tune for a popular tv show? It’s very well composed, it even rocks out. The melody is unique and has nice use of keyboards and brass simulations. I like the use of strong beats and the accompanying lilting tune that lead to a high whole note.

Constructive Comments: Very well done! The most constructive thing I can say is I wouldn’t change a thing. You know exactly what you’re doing.

Song: LET ME KNOW

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: Droning and strained, woeful, weary, and nearly defeated, pleading and begging for acceptance and relief, the music and lyrics fit wonderfully like a hand in glove. It’s an old subject but it feels like it’s done in a different way.

Constructive Comments: Well done recordings are made for a few beers, so celebrate!

Song: FACTORY

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: Straight fives: this one could fit well on any essential folk album. Very good haunting melody with instrumentation, lyrics, and vocals to match. Terrific vocal harmonies. The haunting melody is pensive and pleasing like a Robert Smith (The Cure) melody although this certainly is not a goth piece, but that makes the melody all the more unusual and pleasing. I certainly cannot match the wonderful finesse on instruments that you have, so all fives in those areas, too. Beautiful mixing and mastering…not too little or too much. Flutes work nicely, too. Lots of interest in the progression of this song.

Constructive Comments: It’s always a good idea to enjoy a beer after a well done recording like this. Maybe a good take-out dinner from your favorite restaurant (keep yourself safe!). Listen to the recording a few more times and think, “Wow, that was good!” Ooooo, worked up to four stars on this part of the review. Guess I can press Submit.

Positive Comments: Very beautiful and original piece. Piano work is great, strings and chord changes are great, and the pauses add a lot to this work.

Constructive Comments: Good luck with this. It should work great in the right movie.
