Positive Comments: What a surprise! I didn’t know you wrote cowboy music! I love that stuff! The fiddles, guitars, slow tempos…the instrumentation is like the Michael Martin Murphy. Remember “Wildfire” and “Geronimo’s Cadillac”? Lyrically, it’s full of memories and the wistful loping melody follows that theme.

Constructive Comments: Do you have cowboy music with an even more raw guitar and fiddles, as if you were sitting around the campfire? Just curious. I know this is supposed to be a constructive comment box but I sometimes use it for other stuff. What a fun and varied songbook. What don’t you write? Stay safe my friends!

Positive Comments: Recognized the Train theme right off the top…hard to miss. Nice little tune…lyrics in some places where the metaphors shone were nice…especailly like the “boiler” and “Lionel” metaphors…that was fun.

Constructive Comments: Used to do a song called Choo Choo Ch’boogie years ago…I think Asleep At The wheel covered it from some jazz piece…so…the title is a bit too familiar…at least to me.

Constructive Comments: Lyrics hard to hear….guitars tiny and dominating…a different mix with the vocals and drums up…and if there is a bass…that up too. Could be some fun.

Positive Comments: Like it a lot. Going for the Motown sound can be difficult to pull off but you do it very well here. Like the instrumentation very much, it all works with the vibe you’re going for. The vocals work well for what you’re going for here. Love the Choruses a lot, really swings, got that back beat going on that I like so very much. A very nice effort indeed. Nicely done!

Constructive Comments: I wouldn’t change a thing, I like the emotion in the song, enjoyed it very much.

Positive Comments: Very beautiful acoustic guitar sound. This song has everything, the scene was set before the singer ever appeared. I love all this instruments, harmonica, marching drums and piccolo, you don’t hear piccolo enough these days. I love all the live instruments and your attention to details to embellish the story of the music, it certainly helps the mind imagine the scene. Fine job with this song, very strong arrangement and instrumentation. Fantastic!

Constructive Comments: The vocal somehow didn’t stand out as much as I would have liked. In general it is good but there are definitely unintelligible passage. Somehow I feel the vocal is in competition with the guitars, everything else is great… when the goes out around 3:30 then Pow!!! there is is, I hear the vocal proper. The guitar doesn’t need to be so loud to be heard, it over powered this mix. There is also some low end rumble in the mix probably in the marching bass drums and bass, maybe a low cut at 30Hz.

Positive Comments: Great intro. Live tracks! Thank you!! Very nice pleasant mix, I am finding the panning very interesting and fun. The song is so chill and under control. Like Reggae music produced and chilled with a margarita. I love the song, I totally feel like dancing to this!! Thank you for this music. Love the guitar playing. Nice little breakdown at 1:25 into the guitar action.

Constructive Comments: Mix is great but there are issues with reverb dominating the song (probably on the hi-hat.. never do that!). Without any vocal the song really didn’t go anywhere or leave me singing a hit. As far as groove goes, you nailed it! It was AMAZING! The mix though, full of high end (sounded pretty old maybe ADATS) was a huge disappointment. Makes it so hard to ‘hear’ the song when there are such bad production blemishes such as with this song. Also great guitar work throughout but I felt the need for another instrument, sorry. It’s great but to complete the sound and provide my ear with some contrast please add a sax or an organ even a harmonica or accordion…

Positive Comments: Sound is huge, great samples!! I love the snare sound. This feels like a complete hit. A chill movie trailer or any kind of scene. The intrigue is already set in by the hook, 1:25 I’m in. I like how the song develops with each pass. Breakdown at 2:35 was a good release. Great sounding track!

Constructive Comments: The low end in the track is pretty extreme. The melody and chord changes are somewhat common. After the breakdown was a good opportunity to add another part, instrument. A solo right out off the breakdown (3:00) would have been nice (a pan flute or something would have given it a nice world touch). I understand you and all of us are limited to what we have access to but any woodwinds solo right there would add a new level of dimension and interest to the track. This song had samples which sounded like jungle animals but the track had nothing to do with ‘world music’, I think it would be better placed in R&B or Rap, cinematic. After 3 listens I don’t have any melody or hook in my head. The song cuts off in the end on the fade… hopefully this is a demo and you’re just looking for feedback. Just my taste but I think there were too many synth tracks. Although you had great ideas, the song was overloaded with mid and sub low frequencies… for me. Some great samples though.
