Positive Comments: Lyrically strong, this song tells the story of a guy who got burned, but learned from his relationship fail. Brimming with honesty, it ends with a hopeful, positive message. Very sincere work. Nice work on the bridge.

Constructive Comments: Although the lyrics are very good, the melody and delivery need a lot of work. It kind of just ambles along…needs more melodic oomph or something. Definitely some pitch issues in the vocals. If you are serious about marketing your work, a professional demo would probably be an avenue you might want to try. I don’t think this song is quite ready for that yet. Work on that last line. “I am prepared to feel belief again.” That line just doesn’t work. People say, “I am prepared to believe again.” But you don’t “feel belief”.

Positive Comments: I very much liked the feel of this song. It is laid-back and like a nice warm summer breeze. I like the walking baseline, I like the goal with the syncopated rhythm guitar. The lyric, making love on the floor struck me in a good way. It confirmed the feel of the track. There is an easiness in the song that listeners like.

Constructive Comments: I would like to hear more clarity in the arrangement. The rhythm guitar, to my ear, it’s too loud in the mix. The lead guitar lines get overshadowed, and I can’t really hear what’s happening. I’m wondering what would happen if the lead guitar, at times, doubled the vocal exactly. It’s sort of playing off of it, but in the mix, I feel like it distracts the listener. I’m also really thinking keys would enhance the sound. I can hear great opportunity for someone with piano chops. It might take some of the pressure off the one rhythm guitar, and help spread the arrangement.

Positive Comments: imaginative song with several changing patterns – so much goodness going on here, from the nice vocal harmonies during the beginning section to the cool groove of the up tempo and then the interesting middle pattern that reminds me a bit of some of Styx’s work. The guitar solo is kickin it, with the nice modal thing at the back end before the sax takes over which is a nice way of coming back to the original pattern.

Constructive Comments: the end of the song seems to wind down and kind of run out of steam – I would either fade sooner or have the solo become more frenetic instead of becoming sparser… though that may have been your intention. In all a very interesting song and, in spite of the current 3 minute drive with a lack of attention span, I much prefer something you can sink your brain into – and this fits the bill.

Positive Comments: tight track and loved the tongue in cheek lyrics. Vocal grittiness fits the lyrics well. I really enjoyed the ride, fun ditty indeed.

Constructive Comments: well done all the way around – a very solid and fun track that I could certainly hear in a film soundtrack. I really can’t think of anything I would have done differently – track is clean with just the right amount of fx on the vocals – it all fits right in the pocket.

Positive Comments: Nice laid back vibe. Good song and ideas A few minor tweaks (below)would take it to the next level.

Constructive Comments: Not so important in this genre, but there were a few very minor pitch issues early in the song.Would benefit from a timbale drum sound and a few drum fills to break up the verses. Instrumental solo break potentially too long for some tastes.

Positive Comments: Interesting little groove that has a lot of potential. I like the main guitar lick and sound a lot. Like, a LOT. That’s where the emphasis of the song should be in my opinion. The bass is strong and well-toned, and I’m a fan of all the drums sounds excluding the snare. Overall I enjoyed the listen!

Constructive Comments: For my taste, all the “psychedelic” and effects instruments not only didn’t add, they took away from what was a super-strong groove. As a 20+ year drummer I’d have preferred more depth on the snare, but again that’s just individual taste. I think a re-mix on this with cleaner background instrumentation would make this a killer cut.

Positive Comments: Very good song and feel. The vocals and music are in 70% harmony at present, but the song has great potential!Nice vibe and with a few minor touch ups I can see this in a movie.

Constructive Comments: Some instrumentation feels slightly dated, especially the drums/percussion. The mix can do with a few contemporary choices and a bit of touching up to give it that professional glitter.
