Broadjam Artist: Ian Graham
Song: Lost in Suburbia
Reviewer: John Walradt
Positive Comments: The delightful quintessential sound of an Ian Graham song: lyrically thoughtful, subtle, intellectual, ironic, and the true to life acoustic instrumentation without unnecessary studio tricks. The melody is easy to follow and its mournful chords express the anxious plight of the narrator, made even more so with the ending that, as Neil Young said of one of his own tunes, “starts off slow and then fizzles out altogether.” The way this one fizzles out just adds to the plight and confusion and makes it funnier. If you’ve read this far, “The Quirk” and “International Hamburger Song” are a couple of must listens.
Constructive Comments: It’s always good practice to finish off a session with a couple of beers, but I suspect you do that, anyway.

Song: Felice’s Beer Barrel Polka
Reviewer: John Walradt
Positive Comments: You just can’t get much more festive than this! Nice interpretation of this standard piece and very good studio work. Any accordian player would be happy with this. It is particularly nice that this is genuinely pure acoustic without frills or electronic tricks.
Constructive Comments: Since I don’t have polka in my collection, there’s nothing I could suggest without sounding like a fool. You did a nice job!

Song: Yo, My Love
Reviewer: paul sandberg
Positive Comments: neat little groove going on – very funky! guitar lead is strong, and the rhythm section chuggin. the 2nd vocal part is a nice presence and sits right where it belongs in the mix. The production is pretty solid throughout with a couple of minor niggles.
Constructive Comments: felt that the intro guitar was a bit shrill – back off 3mhz a bit.I also felt that the guitar answer backs during the chorus were a bit too predominant compared to the vocalsnot quite sold on some of the vocal melody lines, but overall this is a nice piece of infectious stuff.

Positive Comments: kick ass band – powerful and tight – production values are spot on, soloists are smokin hot.
Constructive Comments: I felt that the 2nd guitar (the one that solos 2nd) could have been more up front during his first solo – his tone doesn’t bite like the first lead.as much as this song rocks, I do feel, especially with the complete empty breaks, that this could use some lyrics and god forbid, some vocals. great track!

Constructive Comments: Not a fan of that little stutter step in the Chorus, but maybe that’s just me.I also felt that the vocals could be more up front during the bridge.enjoyed the song, felt like toe tapping and head bopping.
