Positive Comments: Here’s a song about summer camp experience and bunk beds. It’s told from a child’s point of view (only he’s now all grown up). It’s a pleasant tune that evokes memories from the past and is fun to listen to. You can almost hear the counselors yelling at the kids. Nice song!

Constructive Comments: This is an interesting topical song. I can’t help but wonder if it was written as an assignment in a songwriting class. OKAY pick a topic out of the hat and write a song about it. I think you did a very nice job! There were a couple of pitch issues I noticed (one vocal, one guitar). Interesting bridge. Not sure how it relates to the rest of the song.

Constructive Comments: I thought the accordion was too dominant in the arrangement and it seemed to overpower the vocals, making it hard to understand the vocals. I would have liked to hear some other instruments come into play. I think there was some percussion but otherwise all accordion.

Positive Comments: Really entertaining piece that keeps you laughing and wonderin’ what’s next. Guitar tone is really nice. This puts me a lot to mind of THE BAND, both the vocals and the intro. There are some movies that this might really work well in. Really cool piece.

Constructive Comments: I doubt if there’d be any kind of copyright infringement with a song as old as The Battle of New Orleans, and you may even be using the beat of that song on purpose, but there sure are similarities, or at least I hear them. But then that’s something Dylan and some of the best have done in the past, so there’s certainly no shame in it.
