Positive Comments: This impresses me as a teen girl pop song filled with youthful angst and fantasizing about “that guy”. The melody suits the lyric well. The questions asked seem quite real for what a teenage girl might think. Favorite lyric: Heaven on earth or heaven on Mars. Very clever play on words “wonder boy” and “I wonder, boy.” Verses are extremely well written.
Constructive Comments: Personal reflection: I didn’t really like the reference to breakfast in bed and stealing all the covers for a song about teenage love…it sounds like sleeping together, which I find out of line for that kind of song. Instrumentation seems “dated”. I imagine if you wanted to market this song in 2020, you’d have to find a young producer that could pull out a current vibe to make it work for now.
