Positive Comments: original, interesting tonalities, cool, hip groove with appropriate lyrics. Very funky, retro fun with a quirky and effective vibe with a nice melody that’s infectious.Kind of cool that you used an afuchi for percussion (at least I think that is what it sounds like)

Constructive Comments: while I like the idea of the electric piano counter, I felt that it could have been more of a wash, with more reverb and saturation that would make it “there” but not standing out so far in the mix. Overall I felt like the entire production could use more “air”, although it works as is as a kind of “intimate” feel. I also felt that the end of the choruses seemed a bit swallowed vocally (“the end of time”).a little odd that the percussion drops off at 3:20 and the song goes on for another 10 seconds.overall this has a real fun feel that with a bit more EQ attention and production could really be a seller.

Positive Comments: strong vocals, sung with feeling – you surely get that barfly, last call kind of vibe.Production is solid with some very nice tonalities (with an exception or two – see below) mix is also very nice, everything right where it should be.

Constructive Comments: there seems to be a bit of a wrong note at 2:45at times there’s a bit too much of a synthy sound to the strings (or is it a violin patch mixed in with strings?) – while everything else seems so “real” and lush, the sound seems foreign to the rest of the song.overall this is very nice and very honest.

Song: GOIN’ ON SAFARI

Reviewer: paul sandberg

Positive Comments: love the hook and the humor of the lyrics. rhythm section is solid and I enjoyed the vocal stylings. I could definitely hear this featured in some comedy/buddy type film.this certainly reminds me of some of the tongue in cheek Elvin Bishop tunes, and ‘taint nuthin’ wrong with that!

Constructive Comments: overall I felt that the recording was a bit “soft” – lacking punch. I also felt a bit of mud in the vocal part where some of the lines were a bit hard to follow. I think I heard horns on the last chorus but they are so far buried – would have liked to have them stand out more (if ya got em, flaunt em! LOL).

Positive Comments: Wow, what a great song. Love the story…it’s so real and expressed beautifully. Every word and syllable counts here. Chorus is consistent and a little different each time, building on the story. Bound to evoke a smile. Great coming of age ballad, and love the happy wedding ending. This song is a winner for sure. Great job.

Constructive Comments: I cannot think of anything to improve this great tune. I wish you the best with it.
