Positive Comments: The stand out in this tune is the sax. I really like the player’s chops. He does an excellent job. The song has good energy. The guitar work is good as are the drums. The hook is decent. I like the idea of the song…I’ve seen my son and his girlfriend sit next to each other and converse by cell phone. It’s irritating for sure.

Constructive Comments: I honestly do not like the song. I am sorry to say it. The vocal sounds very pitchy. The intro seems out of context with the rest of the song. It’s there for a second and then comes back in at the end I’d guess very little thought was put into that. Was the tune rushed? Do you already have a better version? The recording seems rather low in quality. The background vocals? Not sure what that is but it too falls out of pitch,,,guessing it a woman’s voice…all that said, if you clean it up and change the lyric a bit ( turn it off is not the way to start a tune for providers ), you might get licensed by a cell phone company

Positive Comments: This song is FUN to listen to! Great use of the resonator in there, and skillfully played. And some mandolin, right? Good little stops in just the right places. The song is mixed quite well. all parts are hear and nothing is stepped on, I don’t think. here’s minimal drums. I would venture to guess you used the kick drum instead of a click track and just left it in there.

Constructive Comments: This could definitely be background music in a film. Maybe a driving down the highway scene, or even a barroom brawl scene! I hope you had a blast recording this, because it is a blast to hear! Thank you.

Positive Comments: Ok first of all … love the truck horn. HAHA! I think I hear a whole gamut of country type instruments. Guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo. A cornucopia of musicality here. The lyric says just enough without being verbose. It actually tells my own story to a T. Except my rig was a Plymouth Satellite. The girl’s eyes truly were the bluest I have ever seen. And that is the magic of songwriting. YOUR song tells a story that OTHER people think is their own. The singer gets it across with feeling too.

Constructive Comments: My only suggestion would be to do it again …………… only L O U D E R !!

Positive Comments: Is that a B3? Sounds goood! This is a clean, well recorded, well mixed instrumental. I think it’s hard to have a good hook in an instrumental, but you have plenty in there! WOW this song is good from start to finish. The arrangement is excellent. This song is a joy to listen to. Most songs I listen to several times so I get a good idea of how to fairly review the song. I listened to this one several times, purely for my own enjoyment.

Constructive Comments: This song stand up straight on its own and there does not need to be anything changed. It is well built with a soft part here and a crescendo there. WOW. Just WOW.

Song: BACK TO THE CIRCUS!

Reviewer: Phil Bouldry

Positive Comments: Going back to the circus! Can’t say I have heard many songs about that. Very original. The vocalist has a good voice. “I’m going back to the circus” is a good hook. I immediately went into “Ooh I wanna hear THIS” mode. The organ sounds good and belongs in there. The mix is balanced well. The idea is so good it makes me want to go to the circus, just to compare notes.

Constructive Comments: Though the song is about going back to the circus, I think the line is just a bit overused in the song. The time could be better spent on developing more visuals of the circus atmosphere. The song sounds like a rough demo. There is no drum part. No additional backing vocals, though of course that’s not a necessity. The song basically goes once through then repeats again. So much more could be done lyrically. Develop more sights and smells. Elephants, monkeys, horses, dancers, the strong man, bearded lady, people on stilts, two headed goat boy. So many more things can be said. Draw us a picture worth a thousand words, instead of using a thousand words to draw us a picture.Although I am not a huge fan of slick overproduced tracks, I think this is rather UNDER produced. This is more of a good start than a complete recording.

Positive Comments: I love this song! It brought tears to my eyes, and that’s saying something. I do have an ex-wife I’m on my own now so…there’s the emotion. You hit me between the eyes. The vocal lead was excellent. The instruments were spot on.I really like the arrangement. The dynamics were excellent. The guitar? Great. Pedal Steel? Great. Harmonies? Spot on. The way the song builds? Excellent. The soft ending? Well done.An Excellent piece of work…good luck.

Constructive Comments: The only thing I can think about it the originality of the tune, but that is something that could be a positive for the right management company. Assuming you find the right people to place this song in the right hands, you should get air play. I really can’t find fault with the tune. I’d like to hear another version with solo instrumentation in the middle…you guys are great…and if it’s just you doing all the work, pat yourself on the back.

Positive Comments: I do a fair amount of synth and sequencing work. So Nice job on leaving space for the instruments in the effects. This tune has potential for video and film. The intro is very cool! You did a very good job with the percussion…not too busy…it punches well. Excellent use of synth instruments and e.q that makes placement in the mix work. It’s a very good job!

Constructive Comments: Well, it’s short. If you add a second part that is busier, clubs will pick it up…think about making the half time percussion a full on trance beat, add more solos on top of the arpeggio and all the clubs should pick this up. You may already have another version…Also, I didn’t feel as though I hadn’t heard a lot of stuff like this, While that’s not a bad thing, because you’re in that genre, people want something new to “catch their ear”. I have the same issue with some of my stuff

Constructive Comments: well, i was also very confused. the music sounded drunk… and then.. the singer sounded drunk… then, i thought maybe this is a live recording… and then I thought, nope. its meant to be avant-garde…. at lease I think it is… i dont know, . but, i do know it is quite different and should have more tracks to support the style… the vocals sounded really nice in the low tones,
