Positive Comments: this piece is 100% beautiful. I love spoken poetry to music… i actually do it myself. so, I understand the emotion and feeling that needs to be relayed in recorded form. it is not easy, yet, your piece sounds so natural and flowing… the poem itself is wonderful. the music is spectacular, and the entire thing is just great! I am sure I have heard your voice on here before, and everything you do impresses me.

Constructive Comments: there is nothing to work on here.. you know this. lol. its done, its perfect, its beautiful,.. your hair in the wind, the shoulder, etc, it all comes together naturally…

Positive Comments: Very smooth sound, which could easily be used in a film/TV scene with matching vibe. The instrumental mix is very nice, and vocal right on pitch. Good tune!

Constructive Comments: I feel I’ve heard the story line a bit too much, but overall it’s still an excellent effort. My only critique is the vocals sound like they were recorded “dry” and maybe just a slight touch of reverb would make the harmonies stand out more. But enjoyable listen for sure.

Positive Comments: Really great timeless feel to this. It’s got that old-school crooner vibe, but the recording sounds just modern enough to feel like it would fit alongside a Michael Buble or other artists of that nature. The piano work in particular stood out to me. There was a nice melody that it went back to after the hook that helped make it stand out even more.

Constructive Comments: I think your hook could use a second half to really bring it home – maybe not on the first time, but on the second and third hook. I kept waiting for there to be something else after “over you,” and I think it’d maybe take it just that one step further. Strong overall, for sure, though! I also think you could potentially shave some time off the latter bridges, just to leave ’em wanting more.

Positive Comments: Growing up in Baptist churches, I heard (and sang) quite a few songs like this one, but I think there is something a little more unique to it and that there’s clearly a lot of love put into the lyrics and instrumentation. For its audience, I think this will be a really good fit and has some really memorable moments throughout.

Constructive Comments: I think this one’s going to have a tough time in terms of marketability just in a broad sense, but I could hear it in maybe a Vacation Bible School setting where they’re looking for things that the kids can pretty easily sing and do motions to. It’s certainly a niche market, but I think this one would be a great fit for that.

Positive Comments: This is probably my favorite song I’ve heard on Broadjam out of eight or so – really, really liked this one. I think the vocal performance and the instrumentation were both terrific, and I think you did a great job in terms of dynamics and progression for the song. I could hear this being used in film and TV pretty much exactly as is.

Constructive Comments: My only caveat to the above is that it does sound a bit older, like early 2000s modern rock, which I think could bite you in terms of marketability. That’s just not an “in” sound right now. That being said, I still think it’s strong, and when those types of placements are available, I think this would be a good contender.

Positive Comments: This sound isn’t always something I get into, but I found myself really enjoying this one overall. It has a very REM-esque sound to it, and I kept listening in on guitars in particular, as the kind of main riffs throughout were really great. I also thought that delayed “back” on the chorus would get tiring after a bit, but I think it’s kind of perfect. It really sets the hook of the song apart from the other parts.

Constructive Comments: My only real critique on this is that I did have trouble sort of discerning where we were in the song. With it being a shorter one, that’s certainly not as much of an issue, though. I just would have personally liked for there to be a little bit more happening dynamically so that it felt like there was some movement as the song progressed. Again, totally my opinion, but I feel like you could benefit from maybe one more section or something different instrumentally to give the song somewhere to go dynamically.

Positive Comments: That guitar solo (you know the one) is rad. Really enjoyed that, and I think the instrumentation across the board is super strong. I don’t really get into that blues-rock sound by and large, but I think y’all really pull that off well overall. There was a great dynamic and energy to it that almost felt like watching a live performance, which is pretty awesome.

Constructive Comments: Honestly, the big trouble spot to me is just the lyrics. That’s not always a focus on blues music, which I totally understand, but when you have the vocals front and center, I’m going to pay attention to them. There were lyrics like “the music sounds like cheese,” and I know you weren’t trying to take yourself too seriously on those, but those kinda pushed it over into the territory of being too cheesy (no pun intended).

Positive Comments: Your vocals are pretty killer on this one. I think this is also the best chorus I’ve heard tonight out of about seven or so songs! Got a really Bryan Adams-esque vibe from this song, which I enjoyed quite a bit, and I think the song itself has a very timeless feel that I could hear someone listening to 10 years from now and still enjoying.

Constructive Comments: I think the only thing this song suffers from is the recording quality, truthfully. All of the instrumentation sounds pretty fantastic but just needs a stronger hand on the engineering side of things to help you get the best sound possible. I think you’ve got a great song on your hands, though. Would like to hear it with just a little more production, as well, to bring out the modern sound a bit.
