Song: Into You
Reviewer: Bob Birthisel
Positive Comments: This song has a ton of originality, energy and excitement. Really strong instrumentation and vocals to match. This could easily make it into a TV/film background with a few tweaks. I really enjoyed listening to this and feel the writing is super-fresh. A+ job overall so keep bringing it!
Constructive Comments: So yes, I loved the song. But for me it’s in the wrong category. Progressive Rock is almost the anti-LoFi, striving for clarity and purity of sound. Re-categorizing this to LoFi or Modern Rock or even General Rock will get the ears on this that you need. Having distortion in Prog Rock is almost an oxymoron. I actually think LoFi and heavy distortion is meant for those who CAN’T PLAY OR SING, but you guys kill it and it’s not only not necessary, it’s a distraction. Re-mix it clean and you’ve got a monster.
