Positive Comments: A very nice , individual lead vocal, with a sincerity and warmth which is maintained throughout. The whole arrangement takes its lead from the singer, and the mood is reflected in the style of the accompaniment. I like the way the slightly wistful mood is kept up. The saxophone solo is pleasant and effective as an additional contrasting element. The BVs add colour and calm emotion.Very good matching of the music to the lyrics.
Constructive Comments: I feel that the bass is just a bit flappy in sound, and might benefit from a bit of compression. This would sharpen up the focus of the sound. Nothing to do with the part the bass is playing, which I feel suits the song exactly. In the mix overall, there could be maybe some slightly more differentiation between the elements in terms of the amount of reverb they get. Could the percussion track be raised maybe slightly, as it seems to get a bit lost in the other parts? Overall though, the track has a nice melancholy to it which I enjoyed, and it was good to hear your work. All the best to you.
