Positive Comments: Mellow, sweet, relaxing, expressive. This is a really nice piece! I can almost picture the pianist sitting at his/her instrument, looking at his/her love (not at the keys…mostly) and just playing the devotion out in the music. Love your mastery of the instrument…and the emotion. You are definitely telling a story and I like what I am hearing.

Constructive Comments: Keep the good music coming. Do you play in restaurants?

Positive Comments: Impressive! The artist shows a not only a mastery of his/her instrument, but conveys a joy and delight in performing that transmits that joy and energy to the listener. The only thing missing is a video so we can watch him/her perform this. I imagine it would be a fun thing to watch.

Constructive Comments: Out of my genre here, but you remind me of my arranger, and he, too, is brilliant!

Positive Comments: Here’s an easy listening rock song that is really pleasing to listen to. It reminds me of a band that just LOVES to play and the venue is closing down and there’s one last couple sitting at a table in conversation and the band just keeps on playing so as not to break up the ambiance of the moment. That’s where your song took me. I love your guitar playing!

Constructive Comments: Keep up the great music!

Song: Always Beautiful

Positive Comments: Here’s a very interesting love song. Is it about a real girl that he knows…or someone in a magazine picture? Leaves you guessing. An eclectic mixture of genres: dream pop, rap, rock. There is a mixture of the rough and sweet and the instrumentation keeps changing to reflect that. I am hearing some Beach Boys harmonies that sound fantastic.

Constructive Comments: What if you stuck with the Beach Boys vibe for the whole song? I think it would be more pleasant, congruent and marketable. In its present state, it’s interesting (never boring) but a bit ADHD all over the place. If it were my song, I’d pick one genre and stick to it. But it’s your song, not mine! How is coffee pretty? Well I guess Starbucks makes coffee look pretty with their lattes. Friction and addiction – great rhyme. But picture doesn’t fit in that rhyme scheme, in my opinion.Ease out the ending a bit more gradually.

Positive Comments: I really like the lyrics of this song, short as they may be. I can see this guy standing on a rock on the California shore or some beautiful place looking out over the landscape and singing his heart out: The whole world is his! Who cares if anybody knows? There’s a pretty mean screaming guitar and a lot of passion in this track.

Constructive Comments: Short! I would say this is an unfinished work. I think you’ve got a great lyric and idea here. How would you develop it further? I know that your genre is rock, but truly, this lyric might morph into another genre, maybe folk with some changes. Maybe something a little more peaceful to fit the nature words pictures you place into your lyrics. Where/how did you learn to play guitar like that?

Positive Comments: Wow, I’ve never heard a song about prostitution before. This is powerful. There’s a really amazing percussive vibe and the instrumentation suits the song well. The passion of the vocalist seals the deal. The whispers were great. This song has a message that will convict hearts and I hope it makes people think twice about this dark, evil world before they fall into it…both sexes. A powerful writer with a needed message. Keep on singing it!

Constructive Comments: “You’re just another due”. I have a little trouble with that lyric. Maybe it’s a slang connotation I’m not familiar with. I could understand it if it were you’re just another dude (although I am not sure that would be better). Most of the definitions of due in the dictionary are due as an adjective, in which case this would be a grammatical error. Noun: Due is something that rightfully belongs to one. Well, I guess that sort of works, although the rightfully would only mean they paid for it. Ugh. Lastly, I would have liked to have heard one more note at the end to resolve the musical phrase.
