Song: There’s a Kingdom

Reviewer: Sam Cooper

Positive Comments: A religious recording for Jesus’ followers.

Constructive Comments: Where do I start? The instruments need to be performed better. The singer is not really a singer (at best, an amateur), so I would say to go back and fix that with a REAL singer. The levels were low, so I would remaster it. On top of it all, the songs sounds like it needs some goosing to make it less simplistic for the message. Sorry, but this is the truth.

Constructive Comments: Basically, a well-constructed production…maybe a little sterile, but some people prefer things sound perfect and this does.

Song: Devil In Me (with Ben Taylor)

Reviewer: Bob Birthisel

Positive Comments: Goth isn’t normally my genre, but this is so well-written it doesn’t matter. Musically this could cross a bunch of styles, and I could easily hear this in the right TV or film project. I really like the balance in the recording and the musicianship is very effective throughout. In particular the clarity of the instruments stands out in a big way. Great job!

Constructive Comments: I wonder if you’re limiting yourself by calling this Goth. I’d think “Rock – General” might get more ears on it, and it’s too good to be pigeon-holed into a specific market.
