Positive Comments: Here is an extremely passionate song that tells a story of a young girl whose dad walks out on her and she and her mom have to plow through life alone. The hurt oozes from this song and draws compassion from the listener. Very well-written dynamite lyrics. Vocal execution fantastic. The guitars and instrumentation are stellar. I love the way it ends with the beautiful guitar playing. The chorus is really tight and memorable. Great job with the key change! There are so many kids today that can relate to the message of this song. Great job, songwriter!
Constructive Comments: The only thing I didn’t like about this song was the use of the word damn. Call me old-fashioned. This is one great song! You are right: there is more to life than ourselves. I found hope in God through Jesus Christ. May God heal the wounds of your childhood past! Mrs. Kate
