Positive Comments: Finally, a rap/hip hop song with No Bad Words. Yay. The theme is Love Unconditional. The repetitive theme: I’m gonna send you love you send it right back. The repetition pays off as the songwriter fleshes out the chorus in the verses. There’s great interplay between the voices with some sweet tenor voices that really shine in this track. I like the part about no guns. Love the rat/bat rhyme. Great job on this song!

Constructive Comments: I almost didn’t review your song because nearly every song in the rap genre has profanity. (which I hate). Anyway your song was a breath of fresh air. Nice too, that your lyrics were very understandable. However, I do think you should post them. Keep up the good writing!

Positive Comments: This song makes me want to dance. Hard to tell which instruments I like the best. The bass is smooth and steady. The wailin’ lead guitars rock out like crazy – so much fun to listen to. Very expressive, fun playing. Lead vocal crystal clear. The female background vocals are sweet and fun to listen to. Lyrics are fun and original enough. The mix is phenomenal. You’ve got me smilin’ ear to ear with this fantastic song. Jam on!

Constructive Comments: The song is long, but I loved every minute. Your band really has it together. Please don’t tell me you created this whole thing on the computer.

Positive Comments: There are good songs, there are great songs and there are truly anointed songs. This song is truly anointed. I sensed a spirit of worship in it from the first notes. The artist obviously loves the Lord and communicates it so beautifully. I love the lyric “from the mountain top to the bedroom floor.” Excellent word picture and contrast. The harmonies are beautiful. The piano is beautifully played, nothing really more needed production-wise.

Constructive Comments: Can I come to your church? Just kidding. You really have a gift, sister. The only suggestion I have for your song is to work on the lyric “by the grace you till”. How can you till grace? You till ground. Grammatically it just doesn’t make sense to me. I checked my rhyming dictionary. I didn’t find anything that works better. But anyway, it’s an awesome song. That’s my only suggestion.

Positive Comments: I really liked this song a lot. It had a very welcoming feel and while the lyrics were a tad depressing, the overall vibe was positive. I did find some personal taste issues with the mix, but I let it play and enjoyed start to finish.

Constructive Comments: So…about the mix. I’m guessing the vocal was placed intentionally behind the other instruments? I would have preferred it much more forward. The other thing, again for my individual taste, is there was almost no bottom end. It was treble, mid-range highs and more treble. A quick re-mix of this song would do it a world of good, and I say that as someone who greatly enjoyed the tune!

Positive Comments: Very calming and a nice listen overall. The sax is well-recorded and balanced with the other instruments. The changes in dynamics helped to move the song along. It certainly is categorized correctly as a New Age sound.

Constructive Comments: This song would have significantly benefited from real drums instead of programming. That along with the harmonica (which sounded a bit out of tune to my ear) gave an artificial taste, where there was a lot of promise for real instruments. If you ever re-record this I’d strongly suggest going with a full array of natural instrumentation. I still enjoyed the listen though!

Positive Comments: I really enjoyed the feel of the song, and the dynamic changes kept my interest. Very atmospheric, and the guitar tone was outstanding.

Constructive Comments: The downside for me was the synth accents and programmed drums gave the song an artificial feel, totally opposite of the guitar sound. It would definitely benefit from a real drum kit.

Positive Comments: Surprised to hear this under “Americana” as it has a direct Allman Brothers feel, probably closer to Classic Rock. Very pleasant listen with the dueling guitar harmonies. Well-balanced piece overall with solid playing and recording sound. I miss this music!

Constructive Comments: Instruments could have been slightly tighter, but I just enjoyed listening to the groove.

Positive Comments: It sounds like a show tune, very burlesque and engaging in that way.Lots of energy and fun with the crowd singing and taking part, even a dog in there? The lead vocal is very dynamic and energetic. I imagine her sat at the piano orchestrating and playing her crowd and audience.

Constructive Comments: I’m not sure how I’d improve it, it is what it is!Very unusual, lots of fun. I’m not sure I understand it standalone. I think as part of a musical or story then it’s great.

Positive Comments: It’s very summery, nice and laid back. Love the different singer and different feel in the verses and the break giving a different rhythm before coming back to the main theme/chorus. And the lyric idea is a great one for keeping interest, yeah sounds pretty good in Philli there.Vocals are great.I’d have no problem leaving this on the radio on a summer day, might even turn it up and put the windows down.

Constructive Comments: First up going to admit I’m not a rap man.But I’d love to hear some female voices in there too.I’d like just a little more instrumentation in the mix but that’s maybe cos I’m probably more a prog rocker than a rapper. My juries out on whether you need the vinyl crackle effect, I think I’d keep it clean without. But for cruising on a summer day, hard to beat.

Positive Comments: Nice fun feel, lyrics for the verses are great in particular.Nice raw, loose and live feel to it.Nice harmonica, always invokes the feel of a train. There’s almost a bit of skiffle going on, single string bass? are we on the Rock Island line?

Constructive Comments: I like the lyrics in the verses but for me then the chorus is weak, needs a theme to tie it together.I like the harmonica, that’s always good.Although as I say I quite like the loose, raw feel it’s a bit too loose and raw for me.The production isn’t great to my ears, there’s timing issues to me and instruments are a bit loose and dirty. It’s probably a bit long too. I mean it’s got some great ideas and a fun feel but needs polishing for me.
