Song: Help Me Get My Ships Back to the Water (Live@Ft. Lauderdale)
Reviewer: Kate Carpenter
Positive Comments: The writer uses a ship metaphor in this bluesy love song. He maintains the metaphor throughout the whole song. Live recording reveals a winsome performance. Nice instrumentation.
Constructive Comments: Work on clarity in diction (perhaps Chicago blues is a certain style I am not familiar with). At about 1:50 the volume surged in the mix. Knowing that it was a live performance/recording, this is probably not fixable. Vocal seemed pitchy at times. Thank you for my introduction to Chicago blues!
