Positive Comments: A very nice vocal performance. A lot of feeling in the singing, reflecting the wistful lyrics. Some great slide guitar also, and background vocals were sweet. A nicely balanced mix too. The song structure was coherent and had nice harmonic balance, within the genre. There is real emotion in the song and it comes across in the performance. I think this has real commercial potential and I could imagine hearing it on the radio. It comes across as genuine and warm. I really enjoyed it.
Constructive Comments: Perhaps a buttoned ending rather than a fade out would have been nice.. especially as the end of the chorus reaches a good perfect cadence and could just stop?I think the snare could maybe sit a little lower in the mix, but that’s just how it sounds to me. Otherwise the mix is great, and everything supports the lead vocal very nicely.
