Positive Comments: This writer is a good storyteller. Takes you right into the barroom scene and you can picture it all as he belts out his fun/funny ballad.(Did I mention my jeans were new? Ha ha!) This is sure to be a hit with the crowd at the bar and get people up dancing or listening and smiling.
Constructive Comments: Ease out ending – should be an easy fix. How about a little more country sounding instrumentation – fiddle? Mandolin? Really it’s okay the way it is…just saying.At first I thought you were singing The life of a country boy (2nd line of chorus) is like a truck. Then I figured out you were saying like a drug. (highs and the lows). That’s pretty creative…but is everyone going to get it? You make it sound like the life of a country boy is all about the girls and the beers. Maybe you could go a little deeper next time. There’s got to be more to life than that. (spoken by one who quit drinking a long time ago and gave her life to Jesus)
