Broadjam Artist: Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods
Song: Rusty Day Signal / Heavy Metal
Reviewer: Caleb Bundrick
Positive Comments: I really like the melody. The guitar tone is cool. Good use of flanger. This song has a lot of potential if mixed and mastered better. Tempo is perfect for the song and the melodic structure is creative enough to keep the listener engaged. The two guitar parts compliment each other well. The mood is relaxing to mildly brooding.
Constructive Comments: The mix is fairly muddy. The drum loop is very boring, it does not change at all throughout the song. The percussion sounds like it is just a raw loop from a library and definitely needs more attention in the mix to create a more authentic feel. I could not hear a bass line. There are some spots in the recording of the guitar where finger noise could be edited out.
