Positive Comments: A very relaxing song. I liked the multiple guitars. I could hear this on an easy listening radio station. Also, in the background in video or tv.

Constructive Comments: I could hear the hum of your amp throughout the song. Try eq-ing it out. I forget the frequency but you can google it. I liked the relaxing tone of your guitar, very warm. Keep goin’, best to ya , Toni.

Positive Comments: Very nice tempo! I liked it when the drums come in. I think it would add more to the song to have them come in earlier. If you’re wanting a quieter sound you could use a rim shot.

Constructive Comments: I liked the ideas for the arrangement. I think the song would capture your attention more if you introduce more instruments earlier. There were a few pitchy notes but overall the right voice for the song. Best to ya, Toni

Positive Comments: The arrangement and high quality of instrumentalists is really good. I liked the the tone of the vocal, very nice. I feel this could be played on radio or in a movie. Keep goin’.

Constructive Comments: Perhaps a matter of taste but the pauses that are before the next vs is kind of making me think it’s over. Possibly have a line of music with the shaker and congas to indicate there is more to the song. Otherwise loved the song. Keep goin’ Toni

Positive Comments: This has the kind of low-fi grunged up sound that could make it usable in a lot of film or TV situations.

Constructive Comments: Only thing to me is that the lead guitar while well played, might be a little loud in the mix in spots and competing with the vocals for attention. But I could definitely see this getting used in some teenage angst or rebel without a clue film on a budget,

Song: If Lovin You Is Wrong ( instrumental)

Reviewer: Rich Goldin

Positive Comments: The guitar tone is quite nice as is the general phrasing of the guitar melody. The utilization of the organ backing (pad) track is very effective. The piece’s mood and utilization of a minor key is intriguing and holds the listener through the entire track. I like the low volume guitar chords in the background. They offer a nice touch.

Constructive Comments: I have several suggestions and they are mostly technical. The drum track is not mixed in proportion to the composition. The kick drum is up much too loud in the mix and distracts from the nicely constructed lead guitar figures. I would recommend widening the stereo image a bit more. Perhaps pan the lead guitar slightly to the left and move the rhythm guitar over to the right. Sometimes these instrumental tracks often do not develop drama, i.e., build the guitar solo in intensity mid piece so that the composition sounds more constructed vs. jam oriented. That’s just my taste showing and in no way a negative. Keep up the fine work.
