Positive Comments: relaxing blues. nice storyline. sounds a bit like the 70’s, earthy.

Constructive Comments: I’ve gotten to be a drum fan–our technology has improved so much. This nice tune could sound a little more convincing with a better drum sound. Some of my best has been with only 3-5 good mikes. Spend time getting samples until you get that killer sound. It’s worth it!Sonically Yours, catnip

Song: My Baby Loves Me

Reviewer: David James

Positive Comments: The song has great swagger and attitude. The instrumentation is spot on..and the tone of each instrument is perfect. Excellent guitar tone whilst the insistent keyboard works as a kind of glue holding the piece together. Nice solo at 2.30. The vocalist is just right for this song.

Constructive Comments: Perhaps the drum track could be more varied I think a few fills would drive the song. The song has a blues feel obviously, were you to introduce some jazzy elements I could imagine this as a Steely Dan track.

Positive Comments: I really like the retro wah-wah guitar sound and the guitar solo at the end in particular. The transition at 1.12 is highly effective. The song is catchy and has a good time feel reflected by the lyrics. Strong the vocal delivery.

Constructive Comments: I’ve recorded down the quality of the recording because I feel the vocal is a bit low in the mix and possibly the song is a bit bassy, however that might be because you were aiming for a raw sound. Overall I like the song.

Song: Dancin With A One Eyed Rooster/Rock & Roll

Reviewer: Jeff Maguire

Positive Comments: Cool riff, definitely lo-fi, I could see this in the background of the right independent movie.

Constructive Comments: It’s a solid riff, but given the lack of lyrics I might think about making it shorter, after the first minute it doesn’t do anything different and there is no dynamic. As is, I could hear it ( the main riff ) being used in some low budget movie, just gotta find the right one. Drummer is off in some spots and the bass could be louder and more present, just sort of depends on how lo-fi you want to be.
