Positive Comments: It’s got a joy to it you know. I’m a fan of it’s looseness. I listen to a lot of Bonzo Dog Band and this isn’t too far removed from something like that. It’s traditional blues, and a blast to play I bet. Everyone sounds like they are having fun, and that is important for this type of arrangement.

Constructive Comments: I love how the drummer plays with the pocket, While the bass player is on the beat incessantly. For some reason I believe this to be a live recording as there are a few overloads here and there that comes in that setting. I’m also suspicious that the main singer is the drummer, although I could be wrong. My only suggestion would have been to bring lead vox higher in level as compared to the comrades backing. No big deal though! It’s supposed to be loose.

Positive Comments: It’s rock/folk rock right from the go. Drums are thick and smacky, and bass sits well with the right amount of nose in the mix. The guitars have been blended well.I really liked the chorus/turnaround which starts around 2:15 and runs to around 2:50. For a bar or two the song pulls a certain feeling off. Kind of Styx 1978.

Constructive Comments: The song is pleasant enough, and the singer reminds me of Gordon Lightfoot a bit. I’m not sure if the writer intended his questions about answers to be replied to, or it was rhetorical. However I like the effect of taking the verbiage and turning it into a fictitious title. (Like The Kinks Powerman)We all know The Answerman

Positive Comments: It’s a heartfelt song which makes clear statements regarding the writers relationships with his wife/wife to be, and Divinity. It’s a personal statement, honestly expressed, that I can see being utilized at a wedding. The drums struck me as nice and deliberately spacious through my earbuds. They had a wideness to them that still sat unobtrusively. Although I believe the acoustic guitar to be piezoelectric, it still had a nice roundness to the string that wasn’t too spiky. The mixer had a good day. I loved the rondo section towards the end, and the female singers voice blended nicely with the song fabric without ever cloying. Everything is congruent and complimentary.

Constructive Comments: Double tracking was done with touch, and provided adequate thickness to the singers vocal. I went back and forth whether it was actual double tracks, electronically applied, or both. I’m pretty sure it was electronically applied to lead vox, and manually done to backup vox. Most people won’t care one way or the other, The mixer has it right.
