Constructive Comments: theres alot of tracks going on here that could be separated sonically a bit more. youre on the right track here. take the time to dig into each track and find where it overlaps with other frequencies for some EQ separation. otherwise keep it up!

Constructive Comments: sounds like this was recorded in one take with a room mic….id guess the mic on an iphone. Youre too good for that. invest in some pro grade equipment or find yourself a place that has it already.

Positive Comments: good harp capture…that can be tough. good vox tone. great blues guitar tone. piano mix is nice as well. good chord movement…its easy to get caught up in the classic blues moves….well done. i dig the harp solo.

Constructive Comments: vox up in the mix. i think the overall mix could use a little work. rather than hard panning different instruments: layer them with multiple performances (dont copy/paste) then pan and mix in groups, it gives more depth.

Positive Comments: good tones right off the bat. good usage of bells….it kinda a no brainer for xmas tunes. i like the pop spin on an otherwise “beaten to death” genre 🙂 nice and loose feel. good guitar tone. i like the shuffle turn around for the chorus. well done. good vox harmonies. nice panning not messy at all. keep at it!

Constructive Comments: watch vibratos on vox. the smallest amount of autotune on the vox would drive things well….especially since the timbre of bells is so dead on the pitch and close to the same frequency as the main vox. remember to take chances when writing. there are no rules! good work and stick with it. 🙂

Constructive Comments: I would like to hear some percussion. Acoustic guitar sets an intimate tone so full drums is prolly not a great idea…that said: a little shaker, tambo, washpan…etc goes a long way. I think expanding the mic techniques and/or mic selection will broaden the guitar tone also. take the time to experiment. there are no rules in the studio! except for putting open beers on an amp…thats a no no. lol
