Positive Comments: Some people can take make a guitar/voice recording and WOW, that’s all it needs. This is one of those songs. I’ve heard a lot of country love songs, but this one is really special. It comes across as sweet and sincere. (A good love song like this makes you wonder how she could EVER think of leaving a guy like this, ha ha). There are some very clever lyrics in there…like the line with care and carry in it. That’s a good one. But my very best favorite is: You’re the reason I am me…You’re the love in every song.” Total winner lyric. Great vocal performance, excellent guitar work, terrific mix. Well done! Bravo!

Constructive Comments: I think a few of the rhymes come across as a bit overused and trite, like right/night/tight. need/plea. But the song is really good and I think you performed it beautifully!

Positive Comments: Heartfelt praise to God isn’t hard to find on Broadjam in the religious categories, but this song soars above them all. Lyrically, I think it’s absolutely perfect. Melodically, so pleasing to the ear. Instrumentation, Mix, Production? Flawless. I felt the love, knowledge and power of God from the first note to the last. Loved the Milky Way phrase and “so amazed by Your amazing grace.” Absolutely beautiful! Bravo!

Constructive Comments: Post the lyrics! They’re awesome. My guess is that this is DeDe Wedekind.

Positive Comments: How many times do we pass an accident scene, drive by and then forget about it 1/2 hour later? This talented writer put the experience into an unforgettable song. In just a few minutes time, he describes the persona and character of the victim and the hopelessness of his life. “no next of kin to notify, a blanket as his shroud”…powerful, well-chosen words. The organ in the background provides great accompaniment to this track. Great play on words, no last rites/he had no rights at all. Another fav lyric: broken windshield diamonds. Fantastic word picture!

Constructive Comments: I really already reviewed this song, Warren! You know I think it’s a winner. Not so sure about commercial viability but between you and me, WHO CARES about that? Your friend, MK

Song: Stand

Reviewer: Kate Carpenter

Positive Comments: This is really pretty piano + vocal song that proclaims hope: We will get through life’s storms with God’s help. Vocal is sung with passion and believe-ability. Simple instrumentation totally works for this track. Nicely done!

Constructive Comments: If there was anything you could work on (in my humble opinion) it would be the way the marriage of the lyric and melody work together. The song needs to flow more effortlessly…I’m looking for a smooth connectedness that would make the song so much better.Verse one: Who are you going to forgive anyway? What is the antecedent of who?

Positive Comments: This is a very unique track, combining a distinctly Native American flute/percussion/chant-vocal with the plaintive female vocal that tells the story. Love the percussion intro and the way the flute comes in. Ambiance works perfectly as a soundscape for this song. Creatively produced. High marks for originality. I like the way the writer weaves an altered prayer of St. Francis into the song. Nice choice!

Constructive Comments: This has got to be my friend, Delta. If it’s not, I’m a bison’s aunt. Nicely done, girlfriend.

Positive Comments: The engaging, beautiful guitar intro is perfect for this highly poetical composition. The song consistently uses an oceanic metaphor that is gently and skillfully woven through the whole composition. It’s one of those memorable songs that poses questions poetically that no one can really answer, but we all love hearing it so poignantly expressed. Obviously, this writer is a skilled lyricist and is highly original. Bravo! I absolutely love the interplay between the 2 guitars. Five star guitars! Favorite lyric: Sweet salt air just before you die. The last line is a keeper, too “not defined by who we really are.” You’ve got some great stuff here…keep it coming!

Constructive Comments: Not sure that the market potential would be huge in this day and age, but I hope you find your fan base. You probably already have. Your voice sounds a little aged-trembly. There is nothing wrong with that…the maturity of it makes it extra-believable. I would definitely go to hear your set at a folk festival. Mrs. Kate
