Positive Comments: Here’s a funny song about a guy who wants to meet a girl he sees at one of his gigs. Best lyric: Butterfingers in my beer. What a great line! The guitar signature lick is memorable. The instrumentation is singular and memorable. Love that wah wah sound/mood.
Constructive Comments: The guitar intro – not sure what I didn’t like about it. I asked myself: Slightly out of tune? Old strings? But then as I listened further, it seemed to be the beginning of a honky tonk old timey sound, which I actually ended up liking.Question: Was everyone sober when recording this song? That is not a criticism, just wondering…I had to click on the lyrics to read them to really “get” the song. Second listen helped.
