Broadjam Artist: Margie & Art Corey
Song: Sharon’s Song
Reviewer: Steve Wyatt
Positive Comments: First of all, I really like the depth of the lyrics and the strings as they match the backing vocals along with the 32nd note piano riffs. It is haunting and should be orchestrated if it went to production because it could sound so full but it was done so well as a draft and you can hear what the artist is trying to do very well. I like it but not sure of the overall theme as it is not clear to me but I do like the stretch of what the artist is doing with this song.
Constructive Comments: This song is so abstract that it seems like a good song to accompany a video of some sort. I love interesting songs and the reach into the non-conventional and this song has that for me. As songwriters, we are asked to review songs like this and sometimes they are just cool. This is a very cool song to me but as far as market potential goes, well that is the mainstream and the mainstream doesn’t get it. This work like many of my own is not mainstream but a beautiful little song that deserves to be heard. By little, I just mean it is short which takes determination as an artist to hone down.
