A Similar Fate / Rock Alt by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Positive Comments: I don’t have anything real positive to say. The recording has so many issues that it is difficult to actually hear what it is your playing.

Constructive Comments: I don’t know what the constant clicking is in the background, but if that is your metronome set on a ridiculous speed lose it. If it is what you can produce as a drum track with MIDI, lose it. It literally sounds like a ceiling fan running while you are playing with the chains ticking off of something. Super distracting. There were times when I was so focused on this annoying clicking that I didn’t realize I was listening to someone play the guitar. As for your guitar, your notes are being swallowed by too much reverb. Everything is being completely washed out because of it. Makes it very difficult to follow the melody or get drawn into the song in any meaningful way.The ending was just lazy, it was like you said well I played this enough now I am just going to stop and walk over and shut off the recording now. You have to put more thought into it. Not everyone has 1000’s of dollars of recording equipment which you clearly don’t. Not everyone has a masters degree in mixing, which you clearly don’t. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be making every effort for others to take you seriously and controlling the things you can control. One of those things is how you start and stop a song. When there is no thought put into either of those, in this case the ending, you are saying to people who are listening, “you don’t have to take me seriously, because I don’t take myself seriously enough to waste my time with an ending.”

Constructive Comments: Lyrics should be call and response between lead and backup singer.”johnny came a walking without a care” “he don’t care”repeat”carrying his fishing pole without a care” he don’t care”repeat”Johnny got nowhere to be and nowhere don’t care”Just a rough sketch of an idea of what should go with this music. Feel free to use it and develop the idea. Just what popped into my head while I was listening
