Positive Comments: Great horn arrangement! Fantastic performances, programming and arranging. I love the space in the horn parts and the simple driving beat. Vocalist has done this kind of thing before and delivers the song with good energy and style, I can almost see the band performing this live with this recording. Really excellent job on this remake the passion and performances and most noticeably the song arrangement were all exceptional.
Constructive Comments: Lead sax had a weird reverb. The Mix is pretty solid… Love the brass in your face pumping the song. Vocal is in a good place and sounds good. Actually great job on this mix!!! I think the arrangement overshadowed the vocalist in the sense that after three listens the horns were more memorable and pleasing.

Positive Comments: Sweet vibe in this recording. The muted trumpet is superb. Nice hook in the keyboard track. Really making the best of what you are working with… the drum track is swinging great for being programmed, so hard to program jazz drumming. Trumpet player is solid and soulful. Really dug the transition to the section at 1:44, then out at 2:10… that section was dope. Really enjoyed this tune, you have a great ear, feel and swag for jazz.
Constructive Comments: Some dynamics are missing… somewhat due to the programmed drums. If I may be critical I felt that some velocities could have been reduced resulting in some passages softening slightly. Piece of gold right here!!

Positive Comments: Interesting blend of sounds, quite a large orchestration…. I love the orchestral horn parts. Nice jazzy beat and quite and a grand production all the way around… Lot’s of good melodic Ideas. The trombone sounds were good, I liked the song best when the instrument was the trombone.
Constructive Comments: Bass playing 1/8th notes through the melody section wasn’t tasteful to my ear, it might have been better locking in on a rhythm. Piano solo was mixed too loud. The ending was a little abrupt. I felt that the strings were an odd sound in this song especially when they took the lead around 1:10. The long decay, legato attach and smooth silky string sound for me, didn’t enhance the song or blend well. Drum part seemed to add a lot of hiss to the track. Song meandered without a concise melody until 2:12, then a keyboard solo. I missed a strong hook, something to help the listener remember the tune.
