Positive Comments: I assume this is just a snippet?I like the groove of the track, the conga/bongo line works well. the synth that comes in around 1.23, for example, is good and works well with the track

Constructive Comments: the mix sounds a little busy in places.those washy fx/wooshes are constant throughout the whole 2 mins, maybe bring them in and outI thought more could have been done to the structure/arrangement of the track, accentuating new elements by dropping the bass for example for a bar I would have liked to hear some vocals in this, some little disco snippets I think would work well.

Song: CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS

Reviewer: Chris Tso

Positive Comments: The intro guitar hook is strong. The vocal phrasing is good. The arrangement and shorter second verse keeps the song moving. The rests also help keep the song fresh. Good organic drums and alternative guitar tones support a band feel and genre credibility. Great job!

Constructive Comments: I feel the second verse could benefit from a slightly different vocal phrasing from the first verse to give it more unpredictability. I’m not sure if modulating the chorus toward the end of the song is needed. It raises the key to the point where the lead vocal feels like he’s singing at the top of his range. Maybe extra instrumental hooks or simple background vocals could keep the interest without modulation?

Positive Comments: the mix sounded very clean to me.I liked the breakdown at 1.50, would have liked to hear more about that.a very commercial sounding track. the intro with the pads got my attention early.

Constructive Comments: I thought the track could evolve a little more, the drop around 1.10 could do with some more work, it’s a bit sudden and a bit quieter than the rest of the track.I think there needs to be more variation on the track, its synth on piano for most of the track, maybe use the pads from the start or add a new line which isn’t a arpeggiated. vocal snippets throughout or at the end of each 16 bar might be an idea to boost appeal and keep listeners attention

Positive Comments: instrumentation is excellent, vocal sits nicely, lyrics are cool. Excellent R&B rock!

Constructive Comments: Track has a live feel which fits perfectly with this style of music, the guitar licks are perfect to fill in between vocals. Maybe tidy up some of the notes to polish this great track. Overall catchy, well played and well constructed track that fits well in this genre. Well done

Positive Comments: Great hook, maybe a solo to break it up a bit. But overall not bad, well done!

Constructive Comments: I would just break it up with a solo but still enjoyed it, the hook is catchy. Maybe use a click track when recording to keep the timing spot on. Drums sound great & the guitar! Also, maybe think about putting a vocal as it’s a catchy tune, I think it would be greatly beneficial to the whole track

Positive Comments: A well done country song! To hear the Vocalist and understand each word is what makes the piece work! Great balance of the production and well arranged. Great work overall!

Constructive Comments: There is little that i can suggest to improve the song. It is a cliche that adding more instruments may broaden the production value but the truth is that it is a well produced piece. It allows the Vocals and Lyrics to stand tall. Well done.
