Song: Framed & Blamed / Blues Rock

Positive Comments: Felt like there was some capable guitar playing taking place, but the mix was so lacking professional quality – muddy – improperly balanced and un-even it was doing a dis-service to the musician ship [ sorry ]

Constructive Comments: Recognizable hook – no doubt – but it felt like a was coming around a little too often – would have like to have heard some other riffs through out – it would have made that predominate lick “Hook” stand out even more – But the one hook was killer – very memorable!!!

Positive Comments: I like the fact that the song combines genuine energy and power with a genuinely melodic hook. Great lead vocal. Love the bass guitar here. There are some compelling changes of direction throughout the song which constantly add interest. The song has a great ambience. There are some almost eastern influences in the song, (Phrygian scale?) which give it a Led Zep feel.

Constructive Comments: I really like the song and recording but I’ve marked down the lyrics not because of the lyrical content as such but because of the rhyming pattern which relies excessively on the you-true theme. I think mixing up the rhyming pattern would make the lyrics sound more natural. Otherwise it’s great.

Positive Comments: This song has such great drive. It’s invigorating! The interplay among the varied voices is beautiful and intriguing. The rhythm is a hook in and of its own… The piano plays such a simiple, wonderful melody. It’s powerful without trying to overpower. It makes a strong statement without needing flourishes. The harmonic structure and harmonic rhythm are so tightly constructed, tightly woven… it’s easy to understand the statement being made here. It also makes for a song that can be instantly recalled, in part. And that’s important. It is easily hummable, singable. Very nice music.

Constructive Comments: There’s not much to add. I wish the recording had more depth. In other words, I can’t always hear wear each instrument lives in the mix. This might be a totally unfair comment because, often, turning an item into an MP3 creates a flattened file. The higher the resolution, the better…The ebb and flow of the orchestration is so wonderfully dynamic, I want to hear that dynamism in the mix. I really enjoyed this piece. Thank you for making it and sharing it!

Constructive Comments: For a song over 5 minutes, I would have liked to have heard some type of break. But, I certainly would not take off any points for this.

Positive Comments: Really Nice heavy guitar from the start – digging the production – there is definitely a journey influence, maybe bon jovi, lover boy. Simple and driving tune – really dig it. The hook and bridge – tasteful. Smoking. Outro takes me home – yeah baby.

Constructive Comments: This is a polished well written played, and produced, rock tune. Looking forward to seeing who the writer, band is. The lead guitar work is first rate.
