Positive Comments: This is a really beautiful piece. I’ve played it several times. The choices of instruments is perfect, I think. The melody is so wonderfully, beautifully simple. Instantly hummable. That is, to me, so important for a song. Your audience can come away singing and humming the melody or parts of it. It’s a happy melody that will keep a smile on everyone’s face. Also, the drums are mixed in perfectly, I think. They add just the right amount of punch and rhythmic flavor.Thank you!

Constructive Comments: I really like this song. From my experience, strings are difficult to place in a mix pocket. at just about 2:10, the strings are pulled back enough to make a difference. This makes them really sweet. Also, when playing the string lines, imagine playing the violins, the cellos, violas… that will help you voice them as strings and not as a keyboard. The strings tend to be really bright in this mix and dominate this beautiful song. I would pull them back a bit and even throw a notch EQ on them to cut a small bit of the brightness. That could really help. Also, this is not an Avante Garde piece. Put it in its right category. it deserves to be heard.I dunno… finding a mastering plugin that allows mastering dips could be really helpful. I know it’s helped me, and I need to redo some of my music for the same reason. I use the Waves trifecta that’s recommended. L2 Ultrmaximizer,Linear phase multiband, linear phase EQ. My biggest issue is to remember to put up reeeeeally high quality MP3s. Thanks for writing this sweet piece of music.

Constructive Comments: Vocals / singer could be just a little better. Hard to hear the vocalist. Maybe get a female singer and sing an octave higher.

Positive Comments: Hey MGB. Who is the singer. I would like to hire her for a vocal track on my instrumental. Exactly the singing range I’m looking for. Really great job with this. I guess I would classify as new age but maybe not?

Constructive Comments: Maybe a musical bridge to shake things up a bit between verses?

Positive Comments: I really wanted to like this as it reminded me of a military march and I don’t think there’s been a new one of those in probably a century. That said, I understand the overall mood and the instruments sound good but please take down the base drum. That beat just kills the entire song. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but I would have preferred less of the bass drum and more of the mid range to maintain the beat.

Constructive Comments: Take the bass drum down somewhat. I’ts overpowering and interferes with the instrumentation. Fine to have it at the beginning or during transitions but not all the way through

Positive Comments: Kind of reminds me of Flash Cadillac and The Continental Kids. Some Rockabilly going’ on!For that genre and audience, good one but there a some things in the constructivebox below that I might have done to give it some cross genre appeal. All good though, As artists we need to support for the common good. Pls see constructive comments and of course, best of luck!!

Constructive Comments: More appealing to a Rockabilly audience. The song could use a better mix and some dynamics. Even for the apparent genre, the chop could be both enhanced and subdued with something like an 80’s style Hammond B3 perhaps (i did not hear one in there) and I would have pushed the drums to a sub, and then sent them to another sub with some dirty compression to give them some really good punch. I liked the song, and believe me I’m not the world’s authority on mixing. But I would have possibly done those two things. Hammond B for some dynamics and an extra compressed sub mix on the drums for more punch. Good song, though!

Positive Comments: Has a fun vibe/beat/sound that draws you in from the start. was well performed, and recorded.

Constructive Comments: While I liked the vocals, I thought the lyrics started to get a little stale. Not sure exactly, but I don’t feel like the minute and a half added anything new lyrically, which made the whole song feel underdeveloped and a little cliche.

Positive Comments: It was fun, but I knew exactly what was coming within the first four notes of the song.

Constructive Comments: There are songs that are short and sweet, and then there are song fragments. This is a song fragment to me and not a finished piece. General rule of thumb is if the song is not at least two minutes its not really a song, its more of an idea or sketch of a song that you took the time to record. There is nothing really unique about this, I have heard that hook, that sound, those notes, several times before in almost the exact same arrangement. You went overboard on the reverb and it hurt the overall quality of your recording.

Positive Comments: This was well performed and recorded. Most instrumental songs just feel like a 1 minute clip repeated 4 times, was nice to hear more thought go into the arrangement then that. Managed to not get overly repetitive for most of the song.

Constructive Comments: The start of the song is too abrupt, generally you want 1 to 4 beats of empty space at the start of the recording. Did not like the end, whenever I hear a fade out at the end of a longer instrumental it just feels like the musician got bored with his song and didn’t know how to end it and just wanted it over. wasn’t sure how much I liked the instrument that comes in at 2:21, I didn’t hate it, just not sure how much I liked it. Was good to introduce a new sound there, just not completely convinced the sound you introduced was the right choice. I think I would have liked it more if it was 30 seconds shorter, by the very end I wasn’t hearing anything new. Of course maybe if you took that last 30 seconds and made an impactful ending to the song it would change that perception.
