Positive Comments: Firstly, the lyrics are excellent and I mean top notch. I like the insistent quality of the melody, which fit the lyrics perfectly. The song has a strong hook. Some nice percussive elements in the song. The song takes the listener right to the scene of the crime. It’s a very engaging and memorable song, in fact the chorus is going round my mind as I type this.
Constructive Comments: I would have liked the vocal to be slightly higher in the mix. I found the electronic intro morphing in to a country/semi Celtic vibe slightly strange although I do like those electronic elements in the outro. A change in melody and/or instrumentation at 2.48 would have added extra spice to the song. It’s for those reasons I’ve marked down the arrangement, although the musicianship is excellent.Overall it’s a really strong song.
