Positive Comments: Every now and then you hear a song that is a poem that is a song that is a poem that really touches your heart. This is one of those songs. It’s cerebral, intelligent “touch the heart” poetry with a fine use of metaphor throughout. Just enough word pictures that the mind can hold onto, the beach, the rainbow, the hair, the paintbrush. It’s all just very cool and cohesive, truly a work of art. The piano accompaniment is flawless and ever-so-appropriate for this simple, yet pure recording. It’s probably the most original song I have ever heard performed about fathers and daughters. As I sit here in my late father’s office, listening to your song, the memories flood my mind. Thank you for writing this song!

Constructive Comments: At first I was going to give you a 4 on vocal pitch, but I changed it to a 5 because it’s just the uniqueness of your voice, not a pitch issue at all. Bravo three times over. Did you sing this at your dad’s funeral?

Positive Comments: Here’s a demo of an instrumental track. Somebody had fun playing guitar on this song. I like the chord progression. Instrumentation is backed by a percussion loop. Nice ending chord!

Constructive Comments: Where are the vocals? This seems to be a pretty rough recording.

Positive Comments: Here’s a really pretty song about an intimate relationship with Jesus, praising and extolling Him for being the artist’s friend. The high point/very best song of this is the soulful vocal which truly expresses love for Jesus. Man this lady can SING! I love the key change and the emotional build. My favorite rhyme: way/okay. Also like the summer breezes and angels lyric. Beautiful background vocals. Great mix and production. Nice job!

Constructive Comments: Work on fresher, more original rhymes. friend/end/depend Night/all right. Those space-shipppy percussive sound effects (not sure what to call them) during the intro detracted from the song. “They wasn’t there for me” – grammatically incorrect. They weren’t there for me would fit just fine and not detract from the song. He’s the only one I can depend. Another grammatical problem. Depend ON. How do you embrace His touch? That seems like a strange lyric. Sorry I’m so picky!

Positive Comments: I needed to hear a tranquil prayer like this song this afternoon. It’s so gentle from start to finish, so sincere. The heartfelt wish of a man to leave behind a better place. All you need for a song like this is a simply picked guitar and a sweet, clear vocal and this guy nails it. No need to overproduce a great song like this. It stands alone just fine. I really like the bridge – that statement about selfish motives really hits the mark.

Constructive Comments: Whether or not this song goes far, know that you have written something really special! I hope a lot of people get to hear it. I also hope to hear more of your songs! How uplifting! Thanks.Oh, one last thing. That low bass note you hit on your guitar sounded out of tune to me. Arg. The one imperfection.
