Positive Comments: We’ve all seen the western shows with some “doctor” salesman promoting his miracle elixir to the crowd and the buyers lining up. This song takes it a little further and turns it into a folksy ballad that makes the story into a song. Nicely sung, and the instrumentation is so fun to listen to.

Constructive Comments: It was hard to get into the story at first because it seemed like the lyrics/story were fired off too fast. Then I noticed the new feature BJ put up “view lyrics” …why didn’t they do this years ago? In one way, it’s a good idea. Another opinion is: hey if I can’t understand the lyrics as the song is recorded, then the song isn’t so well recorded. Anyway, the only thing I didn’t really like about your song was the immorality of the doctor. You are a good songwriter, though!

Positive Comments: This song reminds me of a lounge piece, kind of sultry, understated but pretty amazing the way the whole thing is put together. High marks for creativity and a memorable hook. The vocal is amazing and the instrumentation definitely suits the mood of the song. It definitely evokes a smile. Very unique!

Constructive Comments: I don’t know too many of the people you are referring to in your song (dates me, I know, I’m 65). But I get the idea. Unique General….I wonder what a better genre for this would be???

Positive Comments: I like this style of jazz singing and the singer has a Frank Sinatra singing style I heard this type of music in my childhood in the 1950s. The song is written by the late Duke Ellington. I like the tune and the singer does a good job.

Constructive Comments: It is not the Duke Ellington Orchestra, yet the recording does work for me. I like the recording and I like the singer singing style. I think I can not say much about the tune and I hope the recording artist continues to record.

Positive Comments: I do like bluegrass music and I like the female singer in this tune. The recording quality works for me and I think the song is done well. I think the male and female singers blend well together.

Constructive Comments: I like bluegrass music, yet I do not like every bluegrass song I might listen to. The musical players in this tune do a fine job and I think the tune does have marketable appeal to people who like bluegrass music.
