Song: Cars

Positive Comments: Remake of a classic song called “Cars”. Very engaging vocal. The heavy use of delay and phase gives it character, you have made the song your own. Good ideas, I like the female backing vocal and the male lead is convincing in his performance.
Constructive Comments: Vocal is a little buried by all the synths (gets better i parts, 1:40 is good). The beat is not driving enough. The strings and synths are overpowering everything. Could sound more balanced if you raise the drums and bass (slightly) and turned down all the synths. Don’t lose the vibe you have created but the mix is super synth heavy… missing the drive that a song entitled “Cars” should have. Some of the melody lines are low, especially in the intro… those melodies would sound so great if doubled on guitar too. Tambourine hits in 1:20 are too loud.

Broadjam Artist: The Haze Factory
Song: Everybody Thinks
Reviewer: Jeff Maguire
Positive Comments: Slick R&B ditty in a 70’s style, impassioned vocals.
Constructive Comments: Honestly amigo, the recording is terrible and the vocals are screeching and out of tune, and I cannot make out a single lyric. It might even be a good song, but the recording and performance are so bad I cannot even tell. Without attempting to be cynical, if you want to sing you should take voice lessons, or if it an original song maybe get someone else to record it.

Song: Gravity KILLER SAX
Reviewer: Nigel Barrett
Positive Comments: Lady GaGa samples in there? Certainly different! I like inventive and this is certainly that. I tend to give marks for originality based on whether I like the tune or not, but up until this moment I’ve been doing that wrong because THIS is the most original thing I’ve heard in years!!! Kept my interest from the outset. When it went quiet at 2 min 30 I had to check if I was at the end of the song. Great work!!!
Constructive Comments: None to add – I want to find something to say that would add to my review but I’m at a loss for words – in a good way!

Positive Comments: Classy and professional. Great piece of music written and played by (a) real musician(s)!
Constructive Comments: I have nothing to add except that for me that Hammond organ occasionally grated a little – would be nice to vary the style of playing – a bot more staccato perhaps here and there would add interest.
