Song: Light The Way (Hall-Young-Hall)
Reviewer: Kate Carpenter
Positive Comments: Looking for a song about the Statue of Liberty? Here you go! This is a patriotic ballad about the Golden Lady lighting the way for our nation. I like the part about the small towns (every one has its glory, its own story”. So true. The hook is memorable, and the instrumentation suits the song well. Nice job, songwriter!
Constructive Comments: All the way through I kept wishing and hoping for a clearer take/mix on the vocal. I found myself straining to understand all your lyrics. I am not sure if there was an effect on your voice that deterred clarity, or if the mix wasn’t right. At any rate, I hope you posted the lyrics because after I get done with this review, I want to read them.
