Song: Humble pie
Reviewer: Randal Dunkle
Positive Comments: I like the way the song starts and how the keyboards and drums blend together.
Constructive Comments: Nice song however, I would like to hear at least another minute of this one – it would be a great start to a dramatic soundtrack – best wishes!

Song: Like Valentine’s Day (Production – Holiday, Valentines Day Folk)
Reviewer: Simon Finn
Positive Comments: I loved the simplicity of the arrangement and the fact that the events you did use ie guitar and voice were both well played and well recorded. It meant that there was room in the song to carry the morning n and the feeling.
Constructive Comments: I felt that the lyrics did not do the song justice. I felt that they didn’t say anything specific or original enough. Some of the rhythms resulting were a bit awkward and there simply too many obvious sentiments and over used rhymes.

Positive Comments: Cool arrangement, I like how the song builds to the hook. Nice R&B groove, the band is smokin!!! Great hooks, very nice song idea. Breakdown at 1:55 into the two bar instrumental interlude into the pre-chorus is dope! Who came up with that? I love the energy and fun vibe I’m hearing. Very eclectic song. There is massive talent within this production. Great accompaniment! Love them horns and strings, organ, bells it’s all here
Constructive Comments: The whole song is a little over driven… Sounds like one of those mixes where all the faders are peaking. Just crickets here… I LOVED THE SONG. Great work, cool cool song. Not jazz :-)’

Positive Comments: Starts out sounding like a CSN song, still has a Steven Stills song. I like the chord changes and feel. Guitar sounds beautiful… Very nice playing. I enjoyed the instrumental break in the middle. I like the dissonance in the guitar chords, it supports the lyrics well.
Constructive Comments: Guitar is recorded pretty well, I would cut some of the lows and lo mids out. Not take all the body out but take some of the rumble out and give it a little more snap… maybe more compression, get it to jump out a little more. It sounds really good though. Vocal is quite buried. I am sure you recorded the guitar and vocals together at the same time otherwise you would be able to bring the vocal out better and could have a better eq for the voice. Too much reverb on the vocal too. Listen to old CSN, James Taylor, Neil Young, Carol King and Joni Mitchell, they don’t have that much reverb on their vocals. It feels like the reverb is the featured artist not the singer. Let’s get the singer at least as loud as the guitar and the reverb makes them sound too far away. Second verse could have added bass guitar and maybe drums but just guitar it kicks ass.

Song: ALL OF ME
Reviewer: Dave Haddad (CenterPeace)
Positive Comments: Beautiful live sound. A jazz classic. Sweet tracks, love the drummer, bass is solid and piano is playing just enough, not too much. Sax break was real nice. Sounds like I am sipping a pint at the local jazz club with the hottest cats in town playing.
Constructive Comments: Nothing critical to say at all. I didn’t score on lyrics, hook, originality or market potential for the obvious reason that it is not an Earl Webb original. As for covering a classic, one of my all time favorite standards, you are always great.

Song: Gone Baby Gone (Jazz – JazzPop/Light Jazz)

Positive Comments: Nice sounding live tracks, recorded clean. By the B section of the song I am into it. Has a classic lounge feel and sound. Love how the drums start with brushes and switches smoothly to sticks. Nice press roll at 1:11. Vocalist sounds like she has had a good long career of singing. The edits you made were probably good because the song length and form is good, it doesn’t ever get boring.
Constructive Comments: Bad edit at 2:05, I could tell that there was a part cut from the song. Maybe this is an old recording on tape when it was harder to disguise edits. Another noticeable edit at 3:13. Try for the best production quality as possible as for poor production quality makes it harder for a listener to hear your song. Too much reverb on the sax in the little musical interlude. This is an old recording, I can hear it now, has that warm tape sound too.

Positive Comments: Really cool intro here. I love how this piece explodes when you least expect it. In the early going, it puts me to mind a lot of Led Zeppelin, but then with the bridges at 2:45 and 4:00, I’m suddenly hearing U2. Very unique work and incredibly deep lyrics. Two thumbs up!
Constructive Comments: It might just be me, but after the intro, at the :45 second mark, it doesn’t sound like the greatest edit. Sounds like another song is beginning. In any case, you all have nailed it again. This is really a cool, mystical piece.
