Positive Comments: Nice, lateral, song! I like it very much!

Constructive Comments: All is very good, not much to say! But if you look for improvement, you need to work on the space around the vocal. It’s too dry. you can try with some early reflections and some slapback, so little that it just suggest some ambiance. And a bit more of punch in the rhythm tracks to get some more energy out of the music. Little things, but that can make a huge difference in the listener.

Positive Comments: Wonderful vocals here. I’m not picking up what this is about but it has a dark show tunes Sara Brightman / Kate Bush drama that I really like. The composition is sophisticated in melody, harmonic structure, and arrangement choices. This really makes me want to know more about the tune and hear more of this artist!!

Constructive Comments: I feel like the instrumental tracks are too loud to let the vocal come through like it should. I’d want to hear this with everything backed down and the vocal kept where it is, and also roll off some of the bass in these tracks too. There’s a big dramatic feel but I want to hear the vocals really standing out.

Positive Comments: The rolling groove and big sound remind me of 80’s Peter Gabriel (and that’s what Dave Matthews took for a current sound). I really like that groove and heavy bass. The vocals have a good timbre, and some really strong points in the performance.

Constructive Comments: I don’t think the lofi “band’s next door” intro is working that well. Why not come in with a bit of that strong, rolling groove then kick the vocals. The echo repeat of every phrase is overdone I think–maybe save that as a less frequent spice and make it more strategic. You have some off pitch “oh hooo’s” that sound like Eddie Vedder–I’d skip those or make sure they’re on pitch. There are some high pitch sounds that are just fighting the mix and adding harshness, when the basic drum/bass groove is so pleasing all by itself. I think you need more variety in the chord progression with a B part of the verses and at least a change up in the bridge. Also the lyrics are kinda stuck after the first verse–can you tell more about the situation? This has a very cool vibe and could really grow into a solid tune.

Constructive Comments: I would’ve added other instruments to play the melody along with the synth line. It was a good melody and I felt it needed to be accentuated more.
