Positive Comments: Lovely vocal quality here! This reminds me of Deniece Williams. The lyrics, melody, and harmony are so pleasing, and the overall gentle approach is so nice. The “high as we can go” moment is fantastic, and here it’s getting into the Gospel realm, which I love.
Constructive Comments: I really like what you’re doing, but I think you have some architectural work to do yet to get the song crafted where it needs to be. The overall sound isn’t quite full and present–the full EQ range isn’t there and the vocals could be bigger. The guitar is a bit too big in the mix relative to the vocals. I think the arrangement is a bit meandering and you don’t have as much impact as you could with more structure. Putting a gentle drums and bass groove underneath would be good IMO.Who & what song could you point to and say “I want it to be like that” ? Love your voice, and would love to hear this tune brought to potential. If you ever want more feedback/input holler!
