Positive Comments: A blues toe-tapper here. Great hook and lyrics are catchy. Vocals are spot on. I enjoyed the tune. Keep it up!!

Constructive Comments: Recording needs work. mostly the background music, not the lead guitar (its volume is fine ), however a remix would help give some umph.

Long Lost Dreams(ft. CoriAnder & Amy Reader) by David James

Broadjam Artist: David James
Song: Long Lost Dreams(ft. CoriAnder & Amy Reader)

Positive Comments: Love the mood in the intro–silky key sounds. Nice voice and good lyrics and a very strong hook. The tune and vocal are much like a Rikki Lee Jones song, and that’s cool! Very nice work!!

Constructive Comments: You double the vocal too strongly and it clutters the execution –the phrasing is off in places and with an equal 2nd vocal track it makes it rough (I have done this so many times). I’d back off the double track so it’s supporting but not competing in the verses and then use it full on during the chorus. I think you need a drum track and a more active bass. This has a really good core but I think you need to put more energy and pulse into the instrumental tracks.

Positive Comments: This is cool & slinky arrangement with good groove and a hint of gangsta feel. It develops well with the staging of parts coming in and variety of sounds. Cool outro Very nice work!

Constructive Comments: Nothing really. It’s very good. Why 4 and not 5? Dunno — it probably needs vocals and a bass line that grooves. But could be used for a theme as is.

Positive Comments: A good idea and concept for a new christmas song which is really difficult to do.The musicality was nice and quality of voice and instrumentation /melody was great.

Constructive Comments: The lyrics were a bit predictable in places and this could do really well with a few tweaks to the lyrics in my opinion.

Positive Comments: This reminds me of Miles’ Sketches of Spain with Gil Evans with some John Souza thrown in. There’s a sophisiticated rework of the head motif in other instruments and imitation. This is hard work and skill on display!!

Constructive Comments: The guitar parts are too midi to really appreciate.

Constructive Comments: The bass guitar and main guitar were out os sync in some places and the quality of recording was ‘tinny’ in places-not sure if this was a fault on broadjam?
