Song: in my life now

Reviewer: Simon Finn

Positive Comments: This is well constructed, musically. The chord progressions and melody are assured and logical and take the listener on a logical journey – there is no “jarring”. The structure is impeccable and you clearly have a good grasp of songwriting theory. The whole production is very polished, clean and easy to listen too. I loved the vocal harmonies in the middle 8. In the lyrics there were a few moments that I felt didn’t sit easily – the use of the word “Female” was one, for example. Good work.

Constructive Comments: The lyric hook of “in my life now” is a bit passive, and I would suggest making it a bit more of a call to action.

Constructive Comments: Potential abounds here, but the true meaning of this song never seems to emerge, at least lyrically. Musically, I love it.

Song: My Black & Blue Heart

Reviewer: MGB

Positive Comments: Very good retro-sounding song. Has early rock n roll written all over it.

Constructive Comments: I could give this song much higher ratings if it didn’t sound too much like “Your Cheatin’ Heart” I hear it in the lyrics, the tune, and the chord changes. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but I can’t help but think it.

Constructive Comments: This would certainly fit one of the opportunities they frequently have here for song that resemble early rock n roll. You’ve really nailed it.

Song: airtight

Reviewer: Ian Ritchie

Positive Comments: Good sound with plenty power. Can see this getting used somewhere in film or TV…maybe a chase scene in a racing movie/programme or in a horror. Good clear sounds on the guitars and bass, plenty power in the drums too. If this hasn’t been chosen yet then it should be.

Constructive Comments: All in all a tune that should get used. A bit of a mish mash of nearly every sound going…maybe on purpose, who knows. But certainly clear with plenty punch.

Song: My Eyes / Rock & Roll

Reviewer: Ian Ritchie

Positive Comments: Catchy little number. I can see this definately beeing used in TV, maybe for advertising or a theme for show. maybe a programme’s end titles. Good guitar work throughout and could listen to this over and over. Maybe even do a song together in the future, who knows.

Constructive Comments: Just personal thoughts here but a bit repetative with no variations but reckon that’s done on purpose so not a criticism in anyway and finished quite abruptly. All in all though, can definately see this getting picked somewhere if it hasn’t already.

Reviewer: Ian Ritchie

Positive Comments: Loved the sound alot and proves not all rock needs to be full of distortion to sound good. Singing was good and in tune, guitars were ace, drums were good and solid. I can see this being snapped up for a teen film, ot TV programme for sure, if it hasn’t already. Great work folks and keep it going. It’s something I would buy and listen to for sure.

Constructive Comments: I can’t really fault this song at all. Maybe the cymbals were a bit harsh if I had to really choose anything, but that’s just my humble opinion and everyone’s sound preferences are different, so don’t change a thing. Good work

Positive Comments: Great intro with the vocal and guitar, really good unique and rocky vocals which sets this track and band/singer apart from most in this genre. Really well produced with the vocals sitting perfectly in the mix and all the instruments well recorded- guitar solo was great btwCatchy as well, i play songs twice and was singing along second time around. My overall impression is of a well written, sung and recorded song that seemed effortless and the band never over tried to make it work

Constructive Comments: Nothing its radio ready

Song: Meant To Be

Reviewer: lost on foot

Positive Comments: all the instrumentation on this track is superb and adds and complements to the singers emotion that comes through in his voice. The guitar cycles beautifully through the track without becoming over bearing and the piano adds to that and the overall well produced feel of this track. The song comes to the boil without ever over heating and the way its built up and then drops leaves you listening for more. Just a really well played, sung and produced track – love that cello

Constructive Comments: Nothing, I have to put at least characters in here so Nothing x 2
