Positive Comments: I particularly liked certain sections of this track – namely the top line which was present throughout the track and when the drums kicked in. Overall, a soothing electronic ambient track.

Constructive Comments: The beginning was a bit weak, as I wasn’t quite sure where the track was taking me. It sounded a bit messy but got better once more instruments and the drums came in.

Positive Comments: A lovely piece of relaxing ambient electronic music. Good choice of instrumentation and overall a clear and tidy production.

Constructive Comments: I felt there to be a little distortion here and there – not sure if you have some bass sounds a little too high…?

Positive Comments: Like the thought-provoking lyrics and the sparse approach of piano and vocal. Reminds me of the Burt Bachcarach & Hal David songs. Vocals work well with this song.

Constructive Comments: Maybe repeat the hook more for emphasis?

Positive Comments: Very catchy intro!Brass stabs work well, organ slides too, nice groove and composition. This is well-written as a piece of music

Constructive Comments: Intro goes on a long time, rigid quantized timing – cheesy brass and tinny piano, you need some better quality instruments / timbres! Bass timbre isn’t geat either… If you could it would tranfsorm your composition…

Positive Comments: Thank you – Nice creative piece, inventive, distinct repeating sections, well-controlled so all good, nice spatial depth – opens up a bit 1:11. The drums / percussion sound like scurrying of tiny feet!

Constructive Comments: You use a lot of repeating loops – perhaps no harm in some variation of bassline and other instrumentation to give the composition more class and some attitud, although I appreciate you may not want that

Positive Comments: Really digging that intro hook right from the beginning! Reminds me a little of “Forgot About Dre” and another song… maybe Sublime…. Crystal Method…. can’t remember, but it’s a good one. The song has a really good groove throughout and could really benefit from lyrics to take it to the next level. It’s a cool blend of electronic alternative rock. Nice solo, sounds grungy, dirty, panny, very cool!

Constructive Comments: I think this song, to really stand out, needs some lyrics and the way that you arranged it, I assume you’re looking to add some down the line. The chorus/verse natural breaks are all there and its a slick jam. Nice!

Positive Comments: Great beat, great energy! The singer is solid, emotes well with the vibe of the song. Really nice lift at 1:43 some really cool melodies throughout the entire song and rolls withe driving beat. Key change at the end (is that a key change) is a nice change until the end.

Constructive Comments: The intro really reminds me of Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” – I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. The song could really benefit from some higher level, clearer mix.

Brand New Day by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Song: Brand New Day

Reviewer: Eric Lives Here

Positive Comments: This song would have crushed in the 80s! Very cool throwback to an 80s pop sound. The instrumental melody is catchy and the lyric melody moves well with it for some really nice moments. Great arrangement including the post chorus. A lot of nice melodies in here!

Constructive Comments: The song could really benefit from a change in the drum loop. I can tell when the chorus hits because of the change in melody, but without a change in the drums and other dynamics, the song falls flat in the chorus instead of really popping.
