Positive Comments: The instrument mix was interesting with organ, drums, and bass. Not something you hear every day. The singer sounds a bit like Bruce Springsteen, although he is quite pitchy throughout the song. The lyrics were understandable.
Constructive Comments: I guess that the singer’s voice was distracting for me because he frequently was sharp or flat. I liked the gravely tone of the voice, but just couldn’t get past the pitchiness. If the song is to be commercially successful that will need to be corrected. There are plenty of inexpensive software packages out there that can do the pitch correction…even in real time where the corrections are made so fast that it happens before the sound comes out of the speakers. The song and the singer have potential, but I don’t think it’s ready to present to a music supervisor as it is.
