Positive Comments: Noise/metal instrumental with some Hendrix in it. Although I hear some yelling in the distance at the start. There’s a darker, more aggressive part followed by a more psychedelic one, with higher guitar notes, then back to dark riffing. Interesting.

Constructive Comments: I don’t know, really.

Positive Comments: I liked the timing in this tune, not too fast. I also liked the way the instrumentation built up and developed into a richer sound. There is quite a lot of drama in the tune and the feeling changed as the song progressed from a more marching sound to something a lot more dramatic.I liked the melody and it would sound very good in a film perhaps about an advancing army or something similar.

Constructive Comments: I likedthe arrangement and thought the composer had a theme in mind ass they were writing this. It reminded me of music used in a scene of a film where there is high drama such as an advancing army. The different instruments created the effect of something very exciting and then a calmness again. I liked the plucking of strings effect too and some nice string sounds near the end.

Positive Comments: This is a very beautiful classical instrumental with a lovely melody and some clever composing. it invoked a feeling of sadness and would be good in a scene in a film where emotions are running high. I liked the piano, strings and the overall ambience of the tune. It developed nicely into a more dramatic crescendo. Lovely piece.

Constructive Comments: I couldn’t really fault this piece at all. If the composer was trying to create a feeling of sadness then it is very successful. I liked not only the tune but also the combination of all the different instruments used. I also liked the clashing cymbals. It is well thought out and really rather beautiful to listen to and to imagine in a film or period drama for instance.

Positive Comments: The instrumental made me feel as though I was going on a journey and it has a good bassline supporting the rest of the instrumentation. It also has a very dramatic feel to it as though something exciting was about to occur. I liked the string sound and there was also tension conveyed in the overall sound. This is good music for something dramatic in a film or TV show.

Constructive Comments: I think the composer achieved a good instrumental which had a unique bassline and original sound. The music had good depth and sounded as though it was driving forward all the time. The beat gave the impression of advancing so it would be good as background music in a film where there is a scene where people are advancing towards something I thought.

Positive Comments: This sounds like a Prairie Home Companion intermezzo with the playful and campy gothic storytelling.

Constructive Comments: The vocal phrasing of the first couple lines of the verses is too mirror image similar, and I think it’s a bit plodding due to that–I’d suggest breaking up the phrasing of the syllables so it’s a bit less symmetrical and hard bound to same rhythmic dotted triple. The vocal’s probably a tad too loud and could use some reduction of the low end I think.
