Reviewer: The Guinetones

Positive Comments: Great song very good imagery in the lyrics, love the mood and the pace of it. Vocals were well blended with the music, nice breaks in the song too. Started strong and ended strong.

Constructive Comments: You did a great job on the song, you can tell by the vocals that you had a clear vision when you started to write it.

Song: DIXIELAND BABY!

Positive Comments: Great recorded acoustic sound. This sounds like someone having a lot of fun with a Jimmy Buffet, Little Feat, and Stephen Stills vibe. The acoustic playing is quite deft! This could be a solid song with some work.

Constructive Comments: The snare is way behind your beat and the bass is still in Kansas. The lead guitar is a pretty harsh tone–what about making it a bit more mellow.

Song: Angels We Have Heard On High-EDM

Reviewer: Kate Carpenter

Positive Comments: This electronic instrumental version of a classic Christmas favorite is true ear candy. Reminds me of Mannheim Steamroller. Beautifully put together, it’s cheerful, upbeat and original sounding. Great mall music. Would lift the spirits of the shoppers and bring an energetic smile. There are some fun percussive effects that add a lot to the track.

Constructive Comments: Ending could be better. One of the drum sections sounded like it needed to sound less canned. I wish you every success with this track! Merry Christmas from Mrs. Kate

Song: Christmas Solstice

Reviewer: Kate Carpenter

Positive Comments: Here’s a song that focuses on the weather and the sun at Christmas. The vocalist has a rich and sweet voice. It offers a contrast in the weather and seasons during the winter holidays. The piano playing is beautiful and it’s a nice mix. Good job on intro and outro. I like some of your rhymes: cheer/hemisphere. clouds/crowds.

Constructive Comments: I could not understand all the lyrics. You have some really clear diction in some parts of the song…I just wish I could understand the whole song…probably would have rated the lyrics higher if I could. The harmony needs to be a little more “gentle” and blended with the lead vocal.

Song: Street Music Part 4 – Hope

Reviewer: Randy Calligan

Positive Comments: Recording was great… you spent a lot of time making sure everything lined up so it sounded professional

Constructive Comments: The synth sound really locked it into a specific 80s style genre for me. The guitar might have really picked it up and given it some personality, but it was barely audible so it sounded like a part of the background. For my ears it needed something strong to make a statement

Positive Comments: Recording was very well done. the mix was perfect. I love the dynamics… you added some interested pieces to it so it didn’t just drone on like so many other artists do. I thought the backwards tape sounds at the end were very well done.

Constructive Comments: I kept hearing a melody in my head while this was playing… I’m not sure that it needed that, but I found it to be more accessible with it.

Positive Comments: Here’s a feel-good track with a happy-go-lucky mood that is bound to uplift the spirit. Terrific intro, love the mandolin and keys and the way the track builds and repeats the memorable hook. Love the change-up in the middle. Very effective! What’s not to like about this song? I hope you have success with it!

Constructive Comments: The ending was kind of a let down. Why not make it as good as the intro? It just kind of died out. Send it out with as much class and aplomb as it came in with! Is this a holiday song? Does it have lyrics?

Positive Comments: I found this piece to be fascinating… every time I thought I had it figured out it switched to something else. Very unusual which is a pleasant surprise. The recording itself was fantastic

Constructive Comments: I sounded a little bit overloaded as I could hear a very slight crackle in the speakers. It was recorded very hot which is not a bad thing.
